💡 Why did we build PopShort.AI?
When TikTok short dramas first emerged in 2023, we jumped in right away. From defining the script style to finding screenwriters to draft outlines and scripts, followed by script revisions, then casting actors, hiring a director, and recruiting all sorts of crew members, we had a ton on our plate. We also had to prepare costumes, props, locations, and equipment for filming. We managed to get all of this done as quickly as possible, but it still took us a full month. Then there was a week of shooting and 15 days of post-production. And just like that, an 80-episode short drama was finished. The entire process took nearly two months and left us exhausted. In the end, the revenue wasn't as ideal as we had hoped—we barely broke even.
🌟 Why PopShort.AI?
Our journey began in September 2023 when we started exploring AI short dramas. Writing our vision on a tattered piece of paper: "Everyone is an AI director, and everyone can be a great storyteller." We went through several iterations, from "PPT"-style AI short videos to AI-generated live-action shorts, from one person producing one episode per week to one person producing two episodes per day, and now to one-click AI shortfilms generation.
PopShort.AI is the product of a year's worth of refining workflows into a single tool. We've streamlined the creative process, allowing users to focus on their ideas while we seamlessly handle scriptwriting, character selection, storyboard organization, images, videos, lip syncing, and more. No more switching between tools or managing multiple subscriptions. We completed a 100-episode series customized for a short drama platform in just 5 days.

Kinda interesting. I could imagine this for production companies to make their work with storyboarding and writing script more easy.

What do you mean by "the worst ones"? Do you mean tools? @alexxiang
Some feedback about features, maybe for those who are in movie / producing industry. If people could customise in real time some elements (e.g. in the side bar where is scene setting) such things, like angles, composition shots (1. Eye Level, 2. Low Angle, 3. High Angle, 4. Shoulder Level, 5. Dutch Angle, 6. Overhead, 7. Aerial), Details like (medium shot, detail etc.) :)
@alexxiang :D yes, I used to collab with one girl that shots movies + I am in such local community of photographers and video makers. Still have to learn from them :)

Great product, I loved the storyboard feature where you can create scenes with a consistent character. Congrats on your new launch, PopShort.ai will definitely become one of the best AI storytelling tool out there!

Congrats on the launch! Just found 2 spelling mistakes on your website, "SHORT" was misspelled as "SHOT" above the CTA at the bottom of the page, and "Lipsync" was misspelled as "lipsyns" in the footer.

Most users reported that how to use it after paying, I felt like a failure at this time, so I designed a "maze" product. The design of the next version is so simple that my 8-year-old son can easily create the Home Alone 6 movie
