Congratulations on the launch guys! 🚀
Nick Russell
I really rate your use of Pareto's Principle to help teams prioritise technical issues, absolutely brilliant!
Nick Russell
I also love how the impact of an issue is calculated and communicated using the impact on the user 👌
Animesh Koratana
@n_russell Thanks so much Nick! So glad you're able to see the value! Understanding issues through the lens of the user makes it way easier to prioritize issues and build more efficiently! What's your team do today to see this impact?
Nick Russell
@akoratana 100%! We're still small enough today that we speak with each of our customers each week and gather any issues or feature ideas directly from calls / via Slack. Will keep you guys in mind for when we scale for sure!
Animesh Koratana
@n_russell Totally understand! Highly recommend checking out our shareable devtools when you get a chance! https://docs.playerzero.app/docs... they've been super valuable, especially for small teams and we're actually offering them for free until 2024!
Victoria Rische
Having spent much of my career in sales and customer success, it’s always been difficult to distill what customers say, relay it to product, and convince them to prioritize a fix. No one has the time to go back and forth with customers to dig into issues and this can lead to customers losing confidence in your products. I love this amazing tool PlayerZero has built, I can clearly see the impact it will have across an entire organization! Keep up the great work!
Matt Kasner
@victoria_rische We love the customer success use case with PlayerZero! I'm curious, how big is your team? We've seen a lot of added value when it comes to communication both with your users but also across your team.
Animesh Koratana
@victoria_rische love to hear it! This is a use case we run into all the time and it's a big part of the reason we built PlayerZero! Arming non-technical folks with the context they need to advocate for the issues that matter is super crucial to maintaining efficiency in cross-functional teams
Victoria Rische
@matt_kasner Ive worked on teams of all sizes, most recently I lead a small Customer Success team servicing a couple hundred enterprises. We looked to implement time saving tools that could be adopted across the organization without friction (easier said than done!)
Victoria Rische
@akoratana could not agree more. Sometimes I felt like our engineering team thought I should be able to troubleshoot a new issue on the fly without engineering support. There was always critical information I was missing because I wasn't asking the right questions. On top of that, product expects data to back up the prioritization of fixes but I was often blind to how widespread any reported issue actually was unless it was reported by multiple customers.
Zekiye Nur Kesici
Congrats on the launch!
Zekiye Nur Kesici
Your efforts to build a community look wonderful and will be extremely useful. Great team behind it, appreciate it.🙌
Animesh Koratana
Thank you so much @zekiye_nur_kesici community is so so important for us and it's such a great experience to see it coming to fruition here on Product Hunt! Really excited to see Before Sunset's launch!
Animesh Koratana
Hi there Product Hunt community 👋, I’m Animesh - Founder @ PlayerZero and I’m so excited to finally be launching PlayerZero with you all today! 🎉 To welcome all of our new friends from Product Hunt, we’re offering you all 3-months free on our growth tier so you can get a feel for how PlayerZero can optimize the way your team communicates product quality– check it out @ https://www.playerzero.app/ Identifying and prioritizing product issues was always a difficult task that created friction and inefficiency across our team. Knowing about an issue is just the first step – but it’s really hard to get everyone on the same page to know *why* the issue matters, and how to prioritize it. PlayerZero merges the user-insights of product analytics with the technical depth of engineering monitoring. It puts user impact at the center of how teams triage, scope, and fix issues. Some of the key features you will grow to love in PlayerZero: ✅ Issue impact scores – know the quantifiable effect of an issue on your users’ experiences ✅ Slack notifications – get notified about high priority issues without context switching ✅ DevTool browser context – dive deeper into your user’s browser with network logs, console, and storage states ✅ Customizable filters – cut out unnecessary noise and take control of what issues you get notified about ✅ Comments – collaborate about issues with your team, in real time or asynchronously What’s next: 🚧 More Integrations – finding a way to further optimize your workflow with PlayerZero 🚧 More Collaboration – further connecting all areas of your organization through the goal of quality 🚧 API & React Native support – unlocking extended coverage into crucial product use cases across more complex systems Our team has spent years developing a product that makes maintaining your high quality product easier, and more collaborative. Going live on Product Hunt is a giant step in our journey, and we’re pumped to have you be a part of our story. Thank you so much for checking out our product and please leave us feedback and suggestions – we love to build with our community. We can’t wait to meet you!
Allison
@akoratana what integrations are supported today?
Animesh Koratana
Thanks so much for asking @ram_sathia Currently we have a few live integrations: 1. Segment - This helps users get started quickly with PlayerZero & send custom product analytics events to us with no extra lift 2. Slack - Many of our users use this today to get notified when something important breaks. 3. Intercom - An intercom operator can actually request a shareable devtools link directly from a user. 4. Jira - Link a devtools report to a Jira ticket & track its lifecycle You can find out more on our docs page too! https://docs.playerzero.app/docs We're heavily building more integrations as we speak! Are there any integrations you would like to see for your team?
Maxwell Matson
@ram_sathia Hey there Allison! Just wanted to echo that we'd really love feedback on which integrations you'd like to see. We're actively planning out our product roadmap based on user feedback and we'd love to get your opinion!
Abhishek Singh
This looks powerful and the name is great. Congrats on the PH launch guys.
Animesh Koratana
Haha thank you @abhishek1846 ! Glad you like the name! Would love to show you just how powerful PlayerZero can really be - do you have a plan for how you want to instrument it?
Abhishek Singh
@akoratana We're currently in the very early days of our product. Would definitely discuss this with my tech co-founder. I was able to connect the strength of this platform to situations I had seen when I was working at another company.
Animesh Koratana
Totally understand @abhishek1846 something we've found to be super useful for early stage teams is our shareable DevTools! It's actually free until 2024 - here's a link to some documentation on how it works: https://docs.playerzero.app/docs...

Steven Birchall
What a great concept. I know as a Product Manager, sometimes there can be differing opinions with other departments like Engineering and Customer Success around how impactful an issue is (especially when trying to prioritise the immediate focus). Having insights like this around who has been impacted, and how this issue is impacting their downstream behaviour removes a lot of that ambiguity and also allows the business to be more proactive in reaching out to the impacted users.
Animesh Koratana
@stevenbirchall Yes absolutely! Our customer success team actually uses PZ super regularly to be proactive - they set up views to monitor specific customers and teams! In fact, we've seen the success side of our business feel a lot more empowered to champion certain issues to engineering because they know the downstream effects of engineering issues - it's been a major culture shift. I think you'd really be interested in our views feature where you can monitor specific subsets of issues to reflect the ones that are most important to you!
Animesh Koratana
@stevenbirchall Thanks so much Steven! We really appreciate the support - feel free to reach out anytime for help getting setup, and don't forget about your 3 months free!
Bren Kinfa 💎 SaaS Gems
Congratulations on the launch, team! This looks mighty useful in bridging a gap between product/UX and engineering. What's the story behind the name?
Animesh Koratana
Thanks so much Bren @saasdesigner ! I appreciate you asking about the name, it's actually something we get asked about a lot! Player One is the active player (ie the Developer/Product lead/QA/UX), and the end user is PlayerZero. We help teams ensure their quality by putting the user at the center of measuring the importance of issues.
Shreesh Vakil
I have had previews of Player0 and this tool is really cool. The approach you guys have implemented of providing feedback to developers from the end-user's perspective will certainly help developers build better software! Kudos to Player0 team. Keep it up!!
Animesh Koratana
@shreesh_vakil Thank you so much Shreesh! We always set out to empower developers (being a dev-led team) and it's so amazing seeing our product genuinely helping fellow developers build better products by getting closer to their users!
Kartal Erkoc
I liked how every important detail is visible at a glance. Dashboard seems very useful. I’ll give it a try, congrats on the launch! 🚀
Animesh Koratana
@kartal_erkoc1 Thanks so much Kartal! We really appreciate you giving us a try! Dashboard is one of our favorite features for sure - let us know what you think when you're in the product. How do you plan on instrumenting? Happy to drop some docs to help out with getting everything set up!
Sam Kamani
