Hi Product Hunters! Notedock's got some similar functionality to SendToInc, but we do things in a different way. Originally built for internal use, so it has things that we find important (ie. tags being very central to everything, a SQL-like search function, etc.) It's more of a place for long term storage of notes than for discussions. More like a 'wiki' type of thing, that allows for comments and side notes. Feel free to ask me anything!

Thanks for sharing, @jabeuy! What type of customers/use cases are you focusing on? @nikDOTca, formerly of Learndot (http://www.learndot.com/) may have some thoughts on this.

@rrhoover I'm looking at small teams, where a full blown 'intranet' is too much, but who still need some sort of wiki to put their notes/procedures/etc in. Technical teams and startups that I've approached are more tech savvy, so they usually end up hosting their own wiki or re-purpose something else (like a password protected blog). This is more of a 'scratch our own itch' sort of thing. Having trouble finding people like me though ;-)

What do you think the ideal team size is to make something like NoteDock or Inc useful? I used Inc with a team of 3 and we stopped using it after a week or two in favor of just posting links in HipChat since links posted in the chat are saved.

@osmnshkh I think it really depends on what you use them for. I use Notedock more to store notes for projects/features I'm working on, putting in explanations of decisions I make, etc. So you can use it in a sort of single player mode, but then have other team members come in and see what you're doing. Like a lightweight Basecamp. Inc I see as more for team collaboration and communication. So I see how it can overlap with HipChat. Admittedly, still need to figure out what we are exactly. "Work and share with your team" can be misleading.

@jabeuy great product, seems like it needs a bit more polish, but I can see the need. I must admit, I tend to use Inc and all other similar "team" tools just on my own. That way Inc, Asana, Subtask, Evernote, all pretty much do the same thing. Would be great to hear your thoughts on this.

@syedaliahmed Thanks. I'm with you on that, I work mostly solo or with a really small group (2 or 3), so I used some 'team' things on my own (like Trello). I'm not sure about how I would use Inc and Asana on my own though. Perhaps if you use them alone and gather up content for yourself, then when more team members come in they'll have a place to catch up at. That's certainly what I use Notedock for, and I can see someone using Evernote for that.
