Hey PH friends, so great to be back here as a maker ✨
I'm thrilled to share next play with the world. Over the past few months, we've been building the home base for talented people exploring what comes next. We want to help people who are considering joining their next thing, starting something, both, or unsure. We want to be there for you. We do that by sending opportunities through a Substack newsletter, hosting exclusive gatherings around the world, interviewing great folks on our podcast, and curating lists.
I'd like to give a huge shoutout to the amazing community we're building together with folks hosting locally in New York, San Francisco, Boston, Seattle, Denver, London, Paris, Berlin, Austin, Los Angeles, Lisbon, Chicago and more soon! @danschreter@bremner@davidquiring, @danallon, @pavithran_chidambaram, @tinahrabak, @abbesmith, @andyapple, @adrian_calderon, @florian_bachelot, Adam Stevens, Sahar Afrakhan, Danielle Jing 🙌🏻 ✨
Huge shoutout to @alexbanaga the iconic designer who's helped us so much with our branding and podcast.
If you know someone exploring what comes next, please send them our way 🙏 http://nextplay.so
Let me know if you have any questions about next play!
@benln "under the radar startup jobs" were the most satisfying in my career. Did it twice before starting my own startup. Both times journey to find them was a Mystic Quest.
One I got through the interview with the Regional GM. We were connected cause I did minor consulting to him when he had his own gig and my wife worked there.
Other opportunity I found cause I knew the early investor in startup and through him I spot and applied for opp.
Having a way to gain such trust and connection on a slightly bigger scale sounds fun!
Congratulations @benln for the incredible community you've built so far. Can't wait to see it grow and evolve, and to host the first gathering in Lisbon! ☀️
I'm very interested in discovering under-the-radar opportunities, especially in cities like Berlin and Lisbon. Where can I find more details about upcoming gatherings?
@memphys_sk we keep the gatherings very curated so we reach out directly based on how much capacity we have + if there's a theme (i.e. sometimes only technical people or a specific sector) to people who applied at http://nextplay.so
we also try to share events in the substack newsletter!
Figuring out what’s next can be so hard, and the next play community can make it so much better. There’s nothing like supporting and being supported by exceptional people going through similar challenges.
Great idea! next play seems like an excellent resource for discovering under-the-radar opportunities and connecting with like-minded individuals in the startup world. I love how you're building a global community and providing value through various channels like the newsletter, gatherings, and podcast.
Congrats on launching Next Play, @benln ! 🚀 Love how you're building a supportive hub for talented individuals exploring their next steps. The blend of newsletters, gatherings, and podcasts is truly innovative.
I see great potential for collaboration with our SaaS product in the restaurant industry. Following you on Product Hunt to stay in the loop!
Amazing, we need more gatherings and getting cool people to meet each other and make cool stuff happen. Must feel good to be on the maker's side once again @benln - congrats!
As someone currently helping a couple friends find their next moves, I'm deeply appreciative of a tool like this. Congrats to you and the team on launching, Ben!
