@bentossell Thanks Ben! And thanks to Roberto for submitting it to Product Hunt. I made the first prototype a long time ago (when the Calendar APIs first appeared in OS X Leopard) because I liked focusing on _just_ the next meeting. I found always being conscious of that created a nice focus and rhythm to my days, and it helped me be more on time and feel less rushed.

While looking for this app I was very surprised to find a medium post by @ev requesting exactly something like it 3 years ago: https://medium.com/@ev/menu-bar-... Not sure if there's any tangential connection – since @Nathan has worked in Twitter and Square.

@nathan app is great but has been crashing incessantly on macOS 10.13. Gobbles up resources and freezes. anyone else having that problem? Maybe there is a conflict with something else but it used to work fine and lately it's pretty bad.

@Nathan Great app! It seems like some apps are putting the URL in the Location instead of the URL field of a calendar event. Any chance you could support launching the meeting from this field as well as URL? Seems to happen on invites sent via Calendly as an example.

Would love this with Google Calendar. I never use my Mac Calendar app.

@franklin_ho It works with Google Calendar. All you have to do is add your Google Calendar account in Calendar app (or System Preferences) and Next Meeting will work. The calendars update in the background even if OS X's Calendar app isn't open. 😉

@nathan Great product! Been really enjoying it. Would be great to 1) automatically add the app to startup items and 2) set a max title length to prevent the app from taking up a huge amount of space for badly-named events. Thanks so much for your work here!
