Hi Product Hunt 👋🤓 I’m David T., co-founder and CEO of Neble. A quick summary about our journey. We began as a “not serious side project” In 2021. With covid, our friends and family were seeing terrible results from learning online, and thought it was a worthy problem to solve. But after talking to hundreds of Ivy League students and tech professionals learning part-time, we realized the situation was far worse. Most people practiced “passive learning,” not “active learning”. Passive learners usually do 25% worse. No wonder people were failing at record levels. 🤔 📚 Passive learning vs Active learning - Read an article online vs Summarize text into own words - Re-read notes vs Do practice questions - Learn alone vs Engage with others Hereon, we went 10 miles deep. Interviewed top Professors, learning experts, and our users about the best ways to learn online remotely. The answer was similar to what academic papers were pointing at. AI Summary to shorten text (partially) so you can save time. 3. Practice questions for better recall. 4. Match you with other users (In-progress) to engage with. All the above are part of active learning. Our mental models and AI are designed to help you become an active learner and learn faster online.
