Moviedle - The daily guess that movie game

When the first Wordle clones started emerging, my mind instantly went “hmm, I wonder what a movie version would look like?” - and immediately started brainstorming . My initial concept had the player guess the title of a movie based on metadata clues, but after several iterations, something was missing from the experience. Then an a-ha moment struck me: “what if you have to guess the movie with just a few scenes or moments?”. Fast forward to today, and now we have Moviedle! It’s an homage to Wordle that invites movie buffs to view a super-short clip and identify the correct movie title – in six guesses or fewer. The clip is essentially a super duper sped up version of the entire movie - a full-feature film reduced into a 1 second clip! With each wrong guess, you get an extra 1s longer version. We spent a lot of our focus on making the game logic simple and easy to play. For example, we provide autofill for titles to avoid typos (using the top ~3000 movies on IMDB). Pausing or replaying the video is disabled to keep the game challenging. We have experimented with different lengths, speeds, and even making the clips black & white (which was just WAY too hard). I’m very pleased with Moviedle so far, but always looking for ways to improve it with your feedback!

Very interesting idea @jtoeman. I would prefer if you remove the "Skip" and "Guess" buttons because its confusing and you are auto filling my words by showing a pop-up!
