@mackflavelle Hi Mack, The v1 website design (some of it) and the explanation of what blockchain is to the masses was inspired by CK cos it brought the idea of blockchain to the masses in a very elegant way. Im a huge CK fan! But inherently the functionality is different - and based on this amazing response to the concept, I will update the design to be more different in a day or two.

Hi @mackflavelle I have updated some of the design which might have looked similar to CK and changed most of the info about Blockchain content. We will release a few more iterations of design in a day or two. Just FYI. ✌️

@tommyrva Well no! CK is not open sourced. I was definitely inspired by CK faq section and the way they handled Metamask interaction because it was so seamless. As to buttons design or the masonry layout, they are on the web since several years ago.

Memes, Music, Movies, Gifs bring communities together! Introducing a new technology by building something which these communities can relate is actually an awesome thing. This is a great step towards the adoption of Ethereum! FTW

Gets Ethereum one step closer to humanity

Hey @johnny_boufarhat! Only the platform. As revenue generating for the users is tied to the platform directly, it makes sense just to make sure platform does not contain near duplicates.

@johnny_boufarhat If you did come up with the meme, you need not enforce it anywhere. Just upload and you are done. If you do own a meme as and when you come up with it, then the app can be used as a single source of truth.

I understand, some of it looked extremely alike. I have updated the design and changed most of the info about Blockchain content. We will release a few more iterations of design in a day or two. But things like Masonry of memes, or popover will stay. Those things are not any one person or one companies property.

If anyone who has ever created a meme gets the "concept" that their memes could have been monetized -- that is a huge win for the blockchain ecosystem. Build more -- lets see cryptozebras, cryptosnakes, cryptopiggies...and GROW this community and network!

Pros:

Simple concept which helps expose more people to the power of blockchain and grows that community

Cons:

None. This is a hacker sharing his side-passion project. The point is not basic HTML/CSS design, but that its built on Ethereum blockchain

Thanks for your insights :) Once a meme is owned, you may choose to monetise from it, buy putting up your meme for an auction (coming soon) or / and also you may choose to have ads on your unique meme link (https://www.memeschain.com/meme/1) and earn revenues from that. Putting up an extremely small cap on each meme owned, deters people from just plagiarising every meme they see on the web.
