Hey hunters 👋 We are really excited to introduce you to Meco! Meco was born out of a love for newsletters and a frustration of reading them in the distraction-filled, guilt-inducing environment that is our inbox. That’s why we built Meco with one goal in mind: to create a more enjoyable and mindful newsletter reading experience, separate from the inbox. We know we are not the first or only newsletter reader out there but we have not followed the traditional newsletter reader path. The difference with Meco is that it connects directly with your Gmail account which means: 📌 There is zero work required moving your existing newsletters to the app 📌 You don’t need a new email address (like other newsletter apps require) What you get: 📌 No feeling of stress or guilt with an interface that breaks all the rules of email 📌 Customize your experience newsletter groups 📌 Scroll from newsletter to newsletter just like a social feed 📌 Pause newsletters senders when you need a little break 📌 Discover amazing new newsletters perfect for you 📌 Plus we have many more great updates on the way Currently Meco is available to Gmail users on iOS devices. If you don’t fall into this category but you’d like to try Meco - let us know! (It helps us prioritise our roadmap) We would absolutely love to hear your thoughts and feedback! Download Meco - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id... (Special thanks to all the users and newsletter publishers that have helped make Meco what it is today)

Congrats on the launch guys! Big fan of what you’re doing. As both a newsletter creator and reader myself, trying to find the best possible experience has been tedious, but your UI/UX just make it so much better!

Avy Leghziel
The best app out there to read newsletters. Simple, functional, doesn't open a new mailbox - just optimizes yours. Super recommended
Erim B.Franci
@avyleg Thanks for your support Avy, we are delighted that you enjoy using Meco!

Congrats on the launch! I am building @slickinbox and it work by providing a new email like you described. One of the biggest complaints/requests I've heard from users is the cost to migrate to Slick - users need to resubscribe newsletters etc.. I've identified this as the single biggest hurdle to getting users to try out Slick, whereas with Meco it looks like you have solved this issue! I would love to give it a try but I'm on Android, but I'll be keeping a close eyes on this. Again, great job on the launch & good luck!
Sean McCarney
@edisonywh1 Thanks Edison appreciate the kind words from someone in the industry! Best of luck with Slick, great to be working on a mutual goal of making the power of newsletters more accessible for everyone!

Wow it’s so fancy to see you guys finally here! 🤩 I had been one for the very first users testing Meco since they were on beta in Apple TestFlight, and fell in love with the idea. Both as a reader and as a newsletter publisher, Meco has been a game changer for us. Easy to use and beautiful. Waiting to see the app available on Mac any time soon? We made a quick video talking about Meco and @slickinbox a while ago and how our newsletter can be read in both. It is spanish but has subtitles so no worries 👉🏻 https://youtu.be/xLnFygNbSEM And again, congrats guys! I am so proud 👏🏼
Sean McCarney
@hungergeeks1 You've been around from the get go! Thanks for all your support along the way! We actually are working on a Mac app you'll be pleased to hear!
Josué Gutiérrez
@sean_mccarney1 I do! Can’t wait 👏🏼👏🏼
Antonio Bologna
Looks very neat! BTW funny fact, the name it's actually a derogatory word slang in Mexico for calling someone who's not that smart :)
Sean McCarney
@antonio_bologna Whoops we did not know that! Hope we haven't offended anyone when calling them a Meco users haha
Antonio Bologna
@sean_mccarney1 lol not at all, I don't think about it as an offense, it's just funny :)

Interesting product, I'd like to see it developed for Android users. Does the app propose new newsletter to read or does it "only" reorganize the newsletters customers already receive on their gmail account? If Meco proposes new newsletters, how does the app select which ones will be put forward?
Erim B.Franci
@rubenwolff Hi Ruben, great question. Each time you open the app we query Gmail with certain conditions to get new emails that are likely to be newsletters. We then run them through our local matching algorithm which uses our growing blocked senders list and unblocked senders list which is generated by our users' preferences anonymously. Once our algorithm confirms the senders are actual newsletters, we propose you the new sender and you decide whether you'd like to add on Meco or keep it in your Gmail inbox. This process has been very efficient for our users. Of course you always have the option to manually add by searching your Gmail as well! Hope this helps!
Bhaumik Shah
Waiting for the Android Launch! Seems like a solution to lot of my problems. But do you require access to my mails to weed out the newsletters?
Sean McCarney
@bhaumik_shah1 Great to hear! Currently we do require sign up with Gmail but we only help us organize and identify your newsletters, nothing else.
Ali Gulez
I have been using the product since early beta and I can honestly say that this is the best newsletter reading app out there. Also having tried other newsletter readers, Meco 's onboarding experience is a lot more easier and quicker in addition to overall reading experience being awesome. Definitely recommended!
Sean McCarney
@aligulez Thanks for the kind words Ali!
Dru Riley
Congrats on the launch!
