-> First of all, a special thanks to Kevin William David for hunting us!!! 💙💙💙<- Hi there Product Hunt! This is Silver from Magiclingua. We are incredibly excited to share our product with you and get your feedback! 🔥We created Magiclingua to solve a pain we had... Which one? Speaking fluently is the end goal of every language learning journey and yet, language learners today spend most of their time filling in blanks, clicking on pictures and picking multiple choice answers. When it comes to having a real-life conversation… well, most of us struggle. We sat down with linguists and teachers and figured out how to make you speak in full sentences from day one. The answer: we combine AI-powered voice-bots and humans into one seamless solution. Sounds exciting? We would be glad if you tried it out! Currently, first languages and lessons are available through our website magiclingua.com on laptops or desktops, but we are working on the mobile apps as well! We are still early stage and super thankful for your feedback!! 🙏 If you have any questions just let us know and we’ll make sure to get back to you ASAP 😻 ------- Btw... .. we constantly need fresh testers and are giving away free tutor sessions. Let us know if you’re interested! 👋 .. also, we’re celebrating our launch today by giving everyone in the PH community, that tries out our demo courses today, 33% lifetime discount once full courses go live 😸 -------- Fun Facts 😹 🔥 Users testing our German, Spanish and French demo courses have spoken more than 100.000+ sentences with our bots and had more than 200 hours of (free) sessions with our human tutors. 🗣️ Depending on who speaks to whom, 4 different languages are used daily in our team 🥇 We launched a Google skill for learning German and Spanish on the same day Google Home was released, which somewhat was the hour of birth of the Magiclingua we have today

@aazar_ali_shad thanks Aazar. Please drop me a pm. Which language are you interested in?
Mané Karen
You definitely have me in <3
Silver Ilves
@mane_gharibyan Thank you ❤️
Lynne Hale
Does it correct your pronunciation?
Silver Ilves
@lynne_hale We are training speech recognition models to understand different accents. But if the pronunciation is too far off, it will tell you it was not correct. It won't tell you yet *what* to change in your pronunciation but this would indeed be a cool feature for the future!
Daniil Kopilevych
Looks amazing and ambitious! Look forward to trying it out, especially on mobile. Good luck!
Silver Ilves
@daniil_kopilevych Hey! Thank you! :) If you sign up, we are happy to send you an update once the mobile versions are out!

I loved the product, looking forward to use the full version!

Pros:

Language education via voice is the best!

Perfect interface

Quality videos and enhanced efficiency via tutor sessions

Affordable price

Cons:

Couldn't see something significant so far far but maybe repeating the hard words/phrases option could be good.

Gleb Teplitsky
Hi Taha, thanks for your review and the feedback! 👍 We are also planning to offer a function that would record what you say so you can hear your own pronunciation after the exercise. Embarrassing for the most of us, but could be really helpful 😆 What do you think?
Taha Sümer Deveci
@teplik Hey Gleb ^^ thanks for the comment! In my opinion, it can be useful but it can also slow down the user experience the learner will get, which may lead to boredom. Or the user can get over disturbed. So I think including an on/off kind of button (maybe in the exercise page?), the feature can be really useful 😄 Yeah embarrassing, but useful ^^ I guess it will be after or before the actual pronunciation so the user will be able to compare better?

Any plans to add support for Korean, @silverpool? cc @suzywillow
Silver Ilves
@suzywillow @rrhoover Hi Ryan, Korean indeed is a super interesting language to add, we get surprisingly lot of requests for that. Tbh: we haven't started working on it yet, but we will consider! I'll let you know if we have any news regarding that, in the meantime feel free to signup to get automatic updates about new languages and courses

I used Magiclingua for improving and refreshing my Spanish. Since my day is usually pretty packed, it is amazing that Magiclingua provides value right away as soon as you start using it. Great work guys! Excited to see how this evolves further.

Pros:

Amazing experience and beautifully designed app

Cons:

none so far

Silver Ilves
Thanks ❤️ We will keep you updated!
Steffen Kastner
What an awesome idea! So far execution looks good as well! Good luck, I have been waiting for something like this for ages!
Gleb Teplitsky
@rageart thank you so much! Glad you liked it. Will be happy to hear your feedback about the learning process (if you already tried it)
Brian Breslin
What engine are you guys using for the backend? IBM? Google? Amazon? Azure? Does the $15/month fee include all the languages? As someone who speaks spanish/french, I would be curious to give you feedback on the lessons. I also echo the desire for korean/japanese.
Silver Ilves
@brianbreslin Hi Brian, #tech: in fact we use different services for different tasks. For example Amazon Polly for nice sounding voices and Google for some NLP stuff. #fee is per language but for all courses/levels. #feedback: If you already speak Spanish and French, you might want to try out our German course to see how it feels to learn something new. Would be really great to hear your feedback! Once you complete the first unit, we'll give you the tutor session with one of our lovely tutors for free ;-) Of course feel free to try Spanish/French and give us feedback as well! #Korean/Japanenese: +1 added to both! We have a wish list and those both are really popular
Ryan
Great concept, but what's with the "Watermark" sound in the background of your marketing video? Every 15 seconds or so I can hear a feint "somethingsomething.com" in the background. I thought I was going crazy until I realised it was your video!
Silver Ilves
@ryan_keon1 thanks for pointing out! We made a small change to the campaign and must have linked the wrong version :) I'll fix it straight away. Did you tried an exercise? How did you like it?
John Foster
cool
Ivan Hristic
This actually looks awesome! This will probably help me speak German (...and my teacher said I was hopeless! Take that teacher, future is now!)
Humphrey Yang
Really awesome. I felt like within minutes I was putting together a German sentence quite easily. Thanks for making this!

Dmitry A.

Great implementation and user experience, not every day you get surprised by well-done web service.

More content would make this a better product. If you want to learn basic stuff, the app is wonderful. It will give you hours of content. But it does not get very intermediate, much less advanced. The product isn't cheap. So when they describe a course as "intermediate," it should be just that... And it's not. It barely gets into that level, much less completes it. It looks great and the video instructor is great, but it ends long before it should. They have an email address and a chat button to talk to someone from Magic Lingua, and no one ever answers either of them.
