Hello World! We are excited to show you MagicBell - an embeddable notification inbox that will make your product more awesome! MagicBell gives your customers an easy way to access all workflow notifications and lets them act on them quickly. For example, based on your app's workflow, you can notify them when someone mentions them in a comment, sends a new file for their approval, or when they receive an e-signature request. You no longer have to rely on emails that often land in the updates tab (or worse, in spam). Building a notification inbox is challenging. I say this from the experience of building a few myself over the years and talking to dozens of customers. Between real-time sync, state management for the notifications, and multi-channel delivery, it's at least a couple of months of work. Most teams never even get to build snooze or do-not-disturb functionality that Slack and Basecamp have popularized. We have an extensive product roadmap, which means your customers will get a better experience each day. We already deliver over a million notifications a month and offer a reliable service. If you set up your free trial today, we are offering a 20% lifetime discount. We also offer a generous free plan with up to 1,000 users. Join us later today (10 am PST) to learn more about MagicBell, ask us questions, tell us about your challenges with building a notification system, or just say hello! Join our webinar - https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/... PS: Thanks, Kevin, for hunting us!

@hanamohan I just tested it and found it really cool. It would be interesting to be optional to forward the notification to the email, remove the magicbell tag and also support other languages.
Hana Mohan
@hanamohan @mauromequelussi thanks Mauro! We already send email and we can help you build a custom tag. I’ll email you and setup a demo. Thanks so much for trying out the product.
Josue Montano
Glad to hear that @mauromequelussi! Though it is not yet available in the admin UI, it is possible to disable emails for your project. Paid plans will also have the option to remove the MagicBell tag. Regarding languages, we have some customers already delivering notifications in different languages, though the UI is in English only at the moment. Which languages are you interested in?
Mauro Mequelussi
@mauromequelussi @josuemontano pt_BR. How to disable automatic sending to email?
Josue Montano
@mauromequelussi A customer support person is taking care of it, we are going to contact you through email briefly. And thanks for providing the language you need, I'll pass this on to the team.
Hana Mohan
@mauromequelussi @josuemontano We have disabled the email channel for your project. Let me also email you so you see this. Thanks

Hey Hana, Congrats on the launch! I have been using MagicBell for a couple of weeks now, and I couldn't be happier with the product. It has allowed me to focus on my core business by offloading the responsibility of sending & displaying notifications to my users. I was up and running in production within a few hours of signing up. Excited to see what the future looks like for MagicBell! Best, Dave.
Hana Mohan
@dave_cervi Thanks for much for being an awesome customer! The interactions with early adopters like yourself make this so exciting :)
Prasanna K
Hi Hana! Good to see MagicBell launched! Can we get an offer for Upekkha founders? :) We'll roll it out to all of them, since this is a key component to have more highly engaged users for SaaS products... In fact @davidsacks wrote about measuring SaaS engagement just today - https://sacks.substack.com/p/mea...
Hana Mohan
@davidsacks @prasanna_says Thanks so much for your support here! Yes, would love to get usage and feedback from your portfolio companies. I'll reach out to you separately to work something out later this week. In the meantime, please stay safe and kick ass!
Bilal Budhani
I got a chance to try out the beta version of MagicBell for my SaaS product and I had a fully functional notification system with a nice JS widget by adding just a few lines of code. This is a great value addition for small teams or solo developer like me who don't want to to build a sophisticated notification engine themselves & rather pick robust solution like Magicbell. Congrats @unamashana on the launch.
Hana Mohan
@bilalbudhani Thanks for being an early customer and for all your feedback. Took me a while to understand why you rooted for the React SDK but we finally have it :) Can't wait to see what you launch next!
Alex Leroy
Will try to use this, it might convince the dev team it isn't complex feature to implement :D
Hana Mohan
@alex_leroy Thanks Alex. Please reach out via Intercom at any time if you have any questions. It's one of those things that look easy to build in-house but it's actually quite a bit of work. It's also not a lot of fun to build compared to your core product :)
Akash Manohar
Building a notification system an app is absolute PITA to do it right and maintain it. I can vouch for the effort required - we just had to go through this process at our work place. It is a delight to see someone creating a service around this. Looking forward to use this sometime. Congrats on the launch @hanamohan ~!
Hana Mohan
@hanamohan @hashnuke Thanks Akash! I'd love to hear about your experience and how you approached building it from a tech and design point of view. I'll reach out privately later this week. Have a great day!

Congratulations on the launch folks! Long time coming 🙌
Hana Mohan
@pranav7 It's great to hear from you! Yes, very very long time coming. I wrote about it on IH today - https://www.indiehackers.com/pos...

I should say that the whole concept of building notification as a service is a brilliant one, as it will definitely save so much time in any product's roadmap. It's a very generic feature and it can grow complex too, depending on what the product owner plans to show as notifications. As we discussed earlier, am working on nailing down notification scenarios in my product. To be frank, I'd kept them on the back burner as I was skeptical of the complexities it would take to build it, now that I know about Magic Bell, brought that feature to the forefront in my product roadmap :) Let's get in touch in the coming weeks to integrate Magic Bell with the products that am working on. I should also say that the pricing model is quite generous :) Good luck!
Hana Mohan
@sam_b4 Thanks so much for your comment here and for the UX interview earlier this month. We have learnt a lot from you and hope to be on your product soon. My best wishes to you and your team!
Nish
Super interesting! We are surrounded by notifications which are currently delivered through a disjointed system of emails, pop ups, app notifications, and what not. Being able to deliver and manage them is a centralised way would be a game changer. Excited for MagicBell.
Hana Mohan
@nish_crafts Thanks, Nish. A big problem with a disjointed system is also not being able to respect a user's preferences. For example, one system for marketing emails and another for customer success, and one more for the product leads to too many teams having access to a user's inbox and competing for it.
Melissa Kargiannakis
this is going to save developers and builders and founders so much time!
Hana Mohan
@melkargi Thanks, Melissa! We believe developers should spend time only building features that no one else can for their products :)
Alex Hartmann
Congratulations on the launch! I was looking for a ready-made notification feature to implement for my clients, and here we go! I will test it out straight away!
Hana Mohan
@alex_hartmann thanks Alex! Please do write to us if you have any questions.
Matt Olevinsky
Hey team. Looks fine. Good job!
Hana Mohan
@matvey_olevinsky Thanks a lot!
Avinasha Sastry
I got to checkout MagicBell a month ago. Notifications have always been a necessary evil while building products. It's not the core of what you are solving but still you need it. It will be great to delegate the function off to a service like MagicBell! Excited to see the progress.
Hana Mohan
@avishastry Thanks Avinasha! I'll take that as validation coming from an experienced programmer like yourself. Would love any feedback on the API too.
Hana Mohan
In case you miss it, here is the link to the Webinar later today (10am PST). See you then! - https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/...

Congrats on the launch Hana! Looks amazing :)
Hana Mohan
@hrishikesh1990 Thanks so much!
Nicolas Nemni
Do you support Chrome Notifications and Safari Notifications?
Hana Mohan
@nicolasegosum Hey Nicolas. This is our most requested feature and next up on your roadmap. We'll release it in the next few weeks. If you setup an account, we can email you once it's live. Thanks!
Max Prilutskiy
Looks great! 💯
Hana Mohan
@prilutskiy Thank you Max!

Building an omni-channel notification system is hard work and I wish Magic Bell existed before, People should stop re-inventing wheel and let MagicBell do the notification magic while you focus on other important priorities of your product/business.
Josue Montano
Absolutely @apacab! We want to empower all teams, regardless of their size or tight deadlines, to release a notification system without tears.
Nate Watkin
Love the product, wish I knew about it sooner! We just finished building a custom notifications engine for our product.
Hana Mohan
@assembletv Hey Nate! Thanks for your comment. If you think a service is useful even after you have built it yourself, that's great validation. Do you think we can chat with you on a zoom call to learn about your experience building one?
