Lumina uses AI to understand and adapt to your environment, ensuring that you look great at all times. Combined with a top-of-the-line 4K sensor, now you can get that DSLR look without piles of equipment, complex setup, or thousands in cost.
🎉 Woot thanks a bunch @kevin!!
Mike and Raymond here, we founded Lumina after spending thousands of hours in meetings and noticed that everyone looked drastically different in different hours of the day and background settings -- often for the worse 😅
The "fix" today is to purchase an expensive DSLR camera, a 35mm f1.4 lens, an HDMI capture card, bulky key-lights, and then read through tons of guides on how to use all your new gear. There had to be a better way. 🧐
At Lumina, we took an AI first approach to designing an amazing webcam. Our goal was to 10x the video quality and product experience using AI and Computer Vision (without adding 10 pounds of wires to your desk). And the results were stunning ✨ (even to ourselves).
After countless iterations and nitpicks, we launched what we believe is a webcam unlike any other, from the moment you touch the box, to the first time you use the color card.
Thanks for checking us out, and definitely reach out if you have any questions! 🙌
Sincerely Team Lumina 🎥
@michael_xia Congratulations on launch!
You might be addressing the need-gap 'Make entry level webcam better ' posted on my problem validation platform - https://needgap.com/problems/185... .
You are welcomed to explain how Lumina 4k addresses that problem, So those who need it can find it easily.
Honestly, since using Camo which allows you to use your iPhone or Android device as a high quality webcam, I don't see the point in hardware cams anymore. Phones truly have some of the best modern cam technology and it shows. That being said, I would be interested in doing a comparison, so let me know if you're offering review copies.
@simon_gabriel thx for the note! Phones do have amazing cameras, but the UX is pretty painful. Happy to hook you up with a discount code if you want to try Lumina.
Webcams have been a part of people's everyday lives for quite some time now. Many people work and study from home, and they need a quality camera for communication. This is especially true for students because often, after classes, they call their friends and play online games, and some of them even stream. So they need a quality webcam, such as Lumina or one of these https://mugens-reviews.de/zubeho....
The first question to answer before buying is what do you need a webcam for? Based on the purpose of use and budget - choose the right option.
The comparison to a DSLR doesn't make sense. No camera that has the sensor close to the lens, no matter how good, can bend the law of physics.The quality will never be as good as a DSLR.
@andreasduess You're totally right! But the comparison is mostly true when coming to our day-to-day video calls. While DSLRs are amazing, they're overkill for Zoom / Hangouts / etc 😅 Lumina gets you 80% fo the way there without any of the hassle.
Hopefully this is "true 4k". Every webcam on the market today that says it's 4k is usually lying. It's often the case that 5+ year-old smartphones have better cameras than "4k webcams".
