The idea for Listize came from my own frustrations with managing grocery lists. In my family, I’m usually the one trying to stay organized, but not everyone feels the same way. There’s always that one family member who sends a mashed-up text via WhatsApp like, “2 apples 1 gallon milk bananas.” Every time, I’d have to sit there, trying to break it down and organize it into something usable. I thought, there has to be a better way. That’s where Listize comes in. Now, I can just share the text into the app, and it magically turns the mess into a neat, categorized list with quantities and units all sorted out. Then there’s Siri—great in theory, but in practice? Not so much. I’d say something like, “Add 2 apples, 1 gallon of milk, and 5 bananas to my shopping list,” and end up with a single, jumbled entry instead of the detailed list I needed. It was frustrating, especially when I knew there had to be a smarter solution. And sometimes, it’s not just about the basics. Like when I want to try a recipe I’ve never made before but don’t know all the ingredients off the top of my head. Or when I’m planning something bigger—like a birthday party for 15 people—and I’m afraid I’ll forget something important. With Listize, all I have to do is type something like “Ingredients for meatballs serving 4” or “Birthday party for 15,” and the AI helper generates a complete list of everything I’ll need. Shopping isn’t just my task—it’s a family effort. With Listize, I can share the list with everyone, so we’re always on the same page. Whether someone’s adding last-minute items or helping pick up groceries, it’s easy, organized, and stress-free. Listize was born out of these everyday struggles, and it’s designed to make life simpler for anyone who’s ever had to juggle messy lists, chaotic inputs, or the demands of shared shopping.

@milad_akarie This sounds like a fantastic solution to a common problem! 🙌 How does Listize handle variations in product details, like different sizes or brands? Does it suggest options based on previous lists or leave it open for the user to specify? Excited to see how this tool evolves! ✨

@tonyabracadabra The auto suggest items based on previous versions is a very important addition to the App, I'm still working on that but probably will need more real-data to get it work. with current setup you can do prompt something like "Suggest weekly grocery for family of 4" or something. now sure I understand your question about how does it handle variations in product details thu.

Looks minimalistic :) Like it!

Seriously useful, the number of times I've been given a list of groceries & I've bought pasta instead of parsley has happened too often. This could potentially be my saving grace :) Best of luck with the launch!!

Congrats on hunting this @milad_akarie. Like the way it handles messy inputs and turns them into something useful. BUT BUT how does it handle more complex requests, like splitting a recipe list by store sections or suggesting substitutes for missing ingredients? 🤔️ 😎️
Milad Akarie
Hey Ashit, features like that along with dietary restrictions and healthy alternatives are planned for future releases, @ashitvora
