Really love this idea. Thinking of putting it on our TV in the office.

@yarcom Yeah, that was actually the original intent. Don't be surprised if you see some Chromecast supported added in the future.

If you couple this with Chrome New Tab redirect, it's a nice way to have it ever-present. I hooked mine up like this, now each time I pop a new tab I see my deadline. Love it. https://chrome.google.com/websto...

@aub Nice! I was actually going to build an extension to do that for you, and select the project you want to display, but this will work in the meantime!

@ryanhefner @aub Right after I saw this post I immediately did that with the same extension! Scrolled down and saw someone else thought it was a good idea as well!

Hi, I'm Ryan, and I made this simple service to keep me focused on the projects that I start. I hope others will find it valuable, too. Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback you'd like to share.

@yoavush Thanks! Yeah, I'm looking forward to a productive, and hopefully not stressful, 2015!!

This is great. Unfortunately, I've already had a slip of the tongue when saying the name a few times, eliciting responses like this -> 0___0 Otherwise, is it possible to view all my project's deadlines on one page, too?
Ryan Hefner
@alirtariq Right now it just displays the dates in the http://www.launchclock.co/projects view. I am planning on adding a toggle to that view, and the countdown view to go between date and timer. Would that work?

Fun idea. Startups always need more discipline around staying on track and not letting MVP bloat (an alt name could be "F*ck it. Ship it." :) I suppose the danger is if the countdown goes off and you launch when you really shouldn't (@dana remember this? :) http://pando.com/2012/02/10/your...)

@dana @sailornathan Nathan, you bring up a great point. Definitely not worth shipping something if you feel it's not fully baked. For instance, I really wanted to add an integration or two to make for a richer countdown view, but realized that was going to take a lot of extra time. And, I wasn't sure if people would even like the countdown timer. If they don't like that, which is the core feature, then the additional value of integrations would be lost, and a potential waste of time. I'm still fond of the idea, and am going to be working in a few core app connections that I think will be valuable for me, but I didn't want that to push back the launch date that I committed to for myself. It seems like people are into this, and I hope I executed well on the core feature. Now that I have some validation, adding the integrations seems justified, and something I can feel comfortable committing to for the next release. Btw, I really dig Foundersuite (https://foundersuite.com). Great job on that!

This small app lets you set a launch date so that you can try to ship on time.

This is great and timely!

@lekanb Thanks! I hope it works well for you.

Nice and simple idea, like it 😃
