Kroto - Create professional how-to videos and guides, insanely fast

Here’s how we turned Kroto (Backed by 100X.VC) from an AI-powered course creation platform to a product documentation tool in 15 days and got 11 pilot customers in the process. I’m Kamal, 20 year old builder from India, with a team of 4. We built an AI-powered course builder. Once we started getting some paying customers, the biggest problem we faced was teaching them how to use the product. Creating a help center felt like a huge task, so we procrastinated. So my co-founder and I decided to make creating videos and guides for this help center fast and easy. This is where Kroto comes in. You record the product feature using our chrome extension, and that's it. Kroto takes care of the rest, it generates a how-to video with zoom-pan effects and a step-by-step guide with snapshots in Image and GIF format for every step. The pivot happened when we realized we were solving the wrong problem for the wrong audience. Conversations with marketing professionals and insights from Sanjay Mehta made us see the true potential in product documentation. We spent 18 hours researching, understanding the market and mapping out the process. This led us to pivot. We pitched the pivot to our investors, built a prototype and validated the idea with potential customers. The response was super positive, we got the green light. Now we face challenges like long publishing times, editor optimization and can’t add or remove zoom-ins in videos. But we’re committed to solving these and making Kroto the best tool for product documentation. Move Fast; Break Things.

Congrats! The problems you faced in the past are also the ones I'm encountering now. Creating a help center takes a lot of time, and there are various product details that need to be clarified in the help center. Sounds like Kroto can completely solve my problems. Have been added to my Chrome.
