Hey Hunters 👋🏼
This is my first post here and it's an attempt to solve a problem I have myself.
I've been working as a digital product designer for the last 7 years, and researching UI/UX patterns within a certain industry is a big part of my daily work. Now, when doing this type of research, you have two options:
📸 Option nr. 1:
Taking screenshots/recordings of the products by yourself. This is a hassle and can take a lot of time. You have to download a ton of apps, sign up, take screenshots, organize, share with a team, etc. Not to mention your email gets cluttered from all the products and services you signed up for.
📘 Option nr. 2:
Using one of the design pattern libraries (mobbin.design, pageflows, uisources, pttrns, ..). I've tried and tested almost all of these libraries on the market. However, none was comprehensive enough to use for my daily work, because:
- they don't support multiple platforms (iOS, Android, web, desktop),
- screenshots are outdated,
- there is no option to create collections and export them,
- the number of products included is too low,
- clunky UX most of the time,
- no recordings, just screenshots.
Noticing this is what inspired me to start building Klues. Instead of creating yet another design pattern library to serve as inspiration, I'm building a tool that designers could use every day as a reference when doing design or research work.
🚀 Status:
Today, Klues is in closed beta, and we're planning to launch it around the end of Q1, 2021.
I'd love to hear what you think and feel free to ask any questions you might have!
If you've ever tried to design anything, you know that it's nice to have some refrences at hand - I mean, people had them since the early days.
Great job @luka_mlakar! I see Klues as this "digital common place book" for any aspiring or experienced UI/UX designer; reducing mental fatique and providing fresh new insights in how to build a digital product.
Keep up the good work! 💪
Amazing job @luka_mlakar!
Klues looks like it will be a great tool to empower designers to create better designs based on best practices of UX / UI flows.
