Zapier is great, great tool to automate simple workflows. For example, if a client makes a purchase on Shopify, generate a matching transaction in Quickbooks. But because it wasn't designed for programmers, more complex workflows are hard -- and sometimes impossible -- to build and automate.
At Jebra, we use Python to to manipulate and transform data from source to sink. Sometimes, we even rely on ML and AI libraries (like spaCy).
Our product was deliberately designed for developers. And we hope to be able to invite other developers, data scientists and analysts to use our data exchange soon!
Hi @russellvaughan1! Thanks for expressing your interest. Would love to describe any aspect of it in more detail, so feel free to ask away!
As for the dashboards, we are currently building these up on a project-by-project basis to enable clients to access (and POST) data, monitor automations or even just view their KPIs.
@t_alnuaimi Thank you. I'd love to see an example of a complex workflow that could be achieved with Jebra opposed to the others in the space, just for context!
Hi @russellvaughan1@chriscchan!
Just a few examples of things we worked on:
(1) accessing attendance data from a class booking system, building a segmentation model, and sending data that enables marketers to curate personalized promotions and offers.
(2) Dynamic pricing based on demand prediction for a product/service at a certain date and time.
(3) And sometimes, it doesn't involve ML at all. We built an automation between a POS and a bookkeeping software that required grouping independent charges on the POS as single invoices with multiple payments on bookkeeping software. The reason was to account for installment payments that were not accounted for as installments on the POS. While this type of workflow doesn't require external libraries, it may have exceeded the duration & memory limits in Zapier.
But there are many more + I'd be happy to discuss!
