Hey folks! As a moderator for Reddit's /r/cryptocurrency and /r/ethtrader subs, I find myself discovering new (and often quite innovative) scams each day, designed to steal people's cryptocurrency. While in our subreddit, we've built automated tooling to help detect these issues, and can rely on community reports to help flag issues, I wanted to to build something that would help protect people beyond our subreddits. While testing both Brave's and Chrome's phishing protection, we noticed they do a very poor coverage in the crypto space, and don't cover things like scams, so I knew a niche tool was needed. The current iteration pulls in multiple database sources, both manually curated and scanned by automated rules to help block attacks - and we're building our an ML flagging process that will actively scan links posted on major crypto communities and chat rooms and add them to the database live time. We also fund our development through Gitcoin in an attempt to further foster open source development and blockchain initiatives, and we've got more than $1000 USD open in active bounties currently. Thanks for checking out IronCoin!
