Hey everyone, Startups are hard. Really hard. In our previous company, one of our colleagues lost his life to suicide and since then we’ve been on a mission to put high-quality, evidence-based mental healthcare in the hands of as many people as possible. We’ve made a mobile app that provides mental health support by delivering low-intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and are super excited to share it with you. For those unfamiliar with CBT, it trains you to identify and challenge negative thinking patterns and behaviour which may be causing you problems. As a result, you can change the way you feel about situations which enables you to change your behaviour in future. CBT is effective for common mental health issues such as anxiety and low mood. However, it’s also useful for maintaining general wellbeing, improving self awareness, managing stress and building resilience. 20% of people suffer from a mental health issue each year in the US and 70% receive no support at all. We’re hoping our product can be a support resource for people who would otherwise not seek help. Give Iona a try and let me know what you think. It's a great way to provide effective mental health support to the "missing middle" within your workplace. Check out our business offering at https://www.ionamind.com/employers Many employers have provision for people at either end of the mental health spectrum with meditation apps and medical insurance, but few have anything which addresses people in-between those two extremes. Iona provides a first step into your company's mental health offerings, and we can integrate with existing EAP providing signposting etc. to your employees.

Downloaded Iona a while ago, and just spotted it was now on product hunt. I was initially quite hesitant on this, but I like the way Iona takes you through the various techniques in CBT and how the exercises are always on hand. It’s definitely helped me in understanding my thoughts and control my anxiety better.

I have been using Iona for 9 months now and it's a great app. I use it to reinforce CBT tools taught me by my psychologist. There's a daily checkin option to help keep track of your mood, options to challenge your thoughts and guidance as to how, fab motivational affirmations and thoughts of the day, and my favourite part, the gratitude journal. I use Iona daily just before bed, to think about the big obvious things that have gone well through the day, but also the little things - a blue sky, sunshine, something nice my son has said etc. And then I get a weekly report from Iona which I personally export to excel so I have a permanent searchable record of my gratitudes, which I can look at whenever I want. There's meditation and mindfulness exercises too, and calming techniques, all of which are very helpful in today's world. I love Iona and am so glad I found it.

I love the set up of the topics, and the app guides you very clearly. The contents are so rich , inspiring and encouraging . When I have time, I will check in to do some core exercise or write down a gratitude journal , these really help me to think positively after a busy day at work. Even if I am busy, I would like to tap in thought of the day to take a quick look to get some inspiration. I wish we could have this in my work place, so some of colleagues can think positively and calmly rather than making lots complaints and being depressed all the time!
