Hello!
We built IndieMailer because we are both authors of paid newsletters, and after geeking out about growth techniques and newsletter tools for a while, we were like "wouldn't it be great if there was a whole community around this idea?"
But there isn't as far as we could tell. So we started one. Now there's a place get inspiration for newsletter ideas, discuss successful publications, and start a thread that documents your own personal journey, and provides a place to ask very specific questions about the newsletter you're building, and many other topics.
We hope you'll join us inside this new community as we all drink the paid newsletter kool-aid.
@almostthere Hey! We'd be happy to have you :) Never hurts to ask, but we don't really have any codes to give away. We priced things low for the launch to try and get some momentum, and as the community grows and increases in value, we'll likely increase the price in kind. So this is a great time to get in!
Something that resonates with me about this community of makers and entrepreneurs... "Prepare to get your hands dirty as we remove the covers on the engines that drive our (and other successful) newsletters to find out what they're made of." I signed up.
@kensavage You get it! I think that's the most important part. It's a *community* of people solving similar problems. Learn from the best of what other people have already figured out.
This is awesome, I love newsletters, I write them and I get the information I need from them with minimal distractions.
There is growing trend around newsletter subscribers especially with our growing world of distractions.
@seanmarkey this might be a little too early but I would love to talk to you about newsletter referral programs at some point :) Congratulations on the launch.
@jchopak Hey Josh. No free trials, sorry! We want the people to join to be invested (even if only for $9) and feel like if we had a free trial it would introduce a lot of noice and churn into the community, which, in my opinion, would take away a lot of the value.
If you're on the fence, hit the indiemailer.com site and read some of the articles. If you find yourself nodding along or wanting to know more (or inspired to start a newsletter ASAP) it's probably a good investment. :) Hope that helps!
@seanmarkey - is your community primarily geared for entrepreneurs and small biz? I work for Agora Publishing - we are a newsletter company with annual sales over a billion dollars...
