Hey Hunters 👋 As a founder I was bombarded with email. It was a constant time drain. I built Inbox Zero to fix this. Email doesn’t need to be a mess. In a world of AI agents, everyone should have their own AI email assistant. Inbox Zero will help you: - Clean up your subscriptions - Automate replying and archiving with AI - Analytics to give you an overview of your inbox The product is fully open source. So you can see exactly how your emails are handled. Or self-host for maximum privacy. And if you’re a coder yourself, you can contribute to creating the perfect email app. ⭐️ Give us a star on GitHub: https://www.getinboxzero.com/github 👩‍🎤 Join the community on Discord: https://www.getinboxzero.com/dis... 🧹 Clean your inbox: https://www.getinboxzero.com 🐦 Follow on Twitter: https://twitter.com/elie2222 Happy 2024! @elie222 Great work on this page and the startup. Open sourcing is a key, will be giving it a shot. The analtics part was something I didnt really know I needed up is very useful, not just for the newsletters, but as a tool to understand your network and who you spend the most time communicating with. I paid for Trimbox 2 weeks ago. Can you tell me How's your solution better?
Elie Steinbock
@superminnu We offer AI automation. The unsubscribe feature has more analytics (eg. how many emails you've read from a sender). We're open source. We offer email analytics. Our product is free to try! I would love to get your feedback once you do!

I love that it is an open-source product. Because for sharing my emails with any third party, it is the main concern. Good luck, Elie.

@elie222 Hey there! 🚀 Inbox Zero sounds like a lifesaver for anyone drowning in the sea of emails. 🌊📧 I'm curious about the AI assistant – how does it precisely help automate responses and archiving? Also, being open source is fantastic! How do you envision the community contributing to perfecting this email solution?
Elie Steinbock
@aashish_peepra 1. You basically chat with your AI assistant the same way you'd chat with ChatGPT. And it has the power to take actions on your behalf. 2. Good question. I see myself doing a lot of the early work but as the product grows more contributions will flow in. The community is small but growing. People starting to add features they want to see which is awesome.

I had given up on the belief that I could have a clean inbox. Everytime I would sit and clean it up, unsubscribe, create rules, new type of emails would come up, having to start all over again. With this, I assume the AI will auto create rules based on my prompt instructions. This looks great. Eager to try. I am a bit picky about security. Any comment on how you assure security & privacy in your product? I would love to read this answer before I try the product out.
Elie Steinbock
@utkarsh_singhai 1. Safest way to use the product is to self host but that's not easy for most people :( 2. The code is fully open source so you can see what we're doing with your email 3. Any data we email store we store of yours is hashed. 4. To get Gmail API approval we had to go through a verification with Google that took a few months. 5. I won't sugar coat it. There is always some inherent risk when giving an app access to your Gmail.

@elie222 Thanks for the candid response Elie, I will do a bit more due diligence and then give it a try. The product looks really promising. All the best to you and the team.
