Hello Hunters and Makers! What would it feel like to have all your ideas—reliably available to you—at any time? After 3 years, thousands of students, and tens of thousands of downloads, we are excited to share the current gold standard for linked thinking: Ideaverse for Obsidian. Thanks a lot for checking it out 🙏 🤦‍♂️ PROBLEM Too much information. Too easy to lose track of what's important. Too easy to consume and feel overwhelmed. Too often stuck creatively. Too easy to give up and watch YouTube. 🌌 SOLUTION Get "technology" to actually help you think better. Create an "ideaverse". An ideaverse is a place where all your knowledge is connected...a place where your ideas go to live, grow, and evolve. An ideaverse is a place that powers and supports your mind and the actions you take in the world around you. Start building yours today! ❓ WHAT ACTUALLY IS IDEAVERSE FOR OBSIDIAN ❓ This is an Obsidian vault with 300 notes that are linked 1000 times. It is a slice of my main ideaverse that I've been developing for over 3 years in Obsidian (but really for over 15 years in various tools) and it can supercharge your knowledge and creativity efforts. You'll learn how to use the most universal notes system (ACE) to help you to learn, remember, and create—not just for today, but for a lifetime. Oh yeah, and it comes with a free email course as well to help you get the most out of "linking your thinking". 🏡 HOME: Have a home note that centers your mind and launches your thinking. 📚 KNOWLEDGE: Have a space—and system—to develop ideas. Have a way to reliably return to your own knowledge and favorite thoughts. 📆 TIME: Have a space—and system—to capture new sparks, focus your day, and reflect on your direction. 🏄🏿‍♀️ ACTION: Have a space—and system—to intuitively manage your efforts. ♻️ HEADSPACES: Learn how these 3 spaces match the 3 headspaces of Personal Knowledge Management. 📂 ACE FOLDER SPACES: Learn how 3 core folders match these 3 headspaces for a unified system. 🎨 CUSTOMIZE YOUR SPACES: Learn how to customize the core system to meet your personal needs. 🏋️ EFFORTS: See how "Efforts" beat "Projects" because "Projects" don't work as well with ideas. 💥 INTENSITIES: See how the four intensities of efforts help you effortlessly manage your entire life. 😩 CONQUER OVERWHELM: See how to overcome information anxiety with Maps of Content. 🗺️ MAPS OF CONTENT: Learn how to use Maps of Content, not just to index information, but to catalyze your thinking and to generate some of your most inspired work. 🧭 NAVIGATE: See how Maps of Content help you navigate your ideas. 🧬 NOTE-MAKING: Learn how to make notes—not just mechanically "take" them. And how making notes creates a habit that creates value for you. 🔆 LINKING YOUR THINKING: And through all of this, you will UNDERSTAND how "linking your thinking" works to support and empower your mind—along with all the actions you take in the world around you. 🎯 OUTCOME • Imagine how much calmer and confident you could feel in your thoughts and actions. • Imagine how much clarity could you gain. • Imagine how much more effective and consistent you could be in all your efforts. 🗣 WHAT DO YOU THINK? It’s great to be back and I can't wait to get your feedback today. Ask away and we'll do our best to answer!

@nickmilo Congratulations, Nick! This is such a huge milestone and it looks fantastic!
Karen Hume (Profound Journey)
Linking Your Thinking is right up there with Apple as a company that gets it all brilliantly right every single time. Ideaverse for Obsidian continues that tradition and, like new Apple products, represents a giant innovative leap forward in the PKM world. The similarities between Linking Your Thinking and Apple continue in that both of their founders were/are brilliant, creative men. It differs in Nick Milo being one of the most thoughtful, responsive and genuinely awesome human beings I've had the privilege to meet online; hopefully, someday, in person. Thank you for the gift of Ideaverse for Obsidian, Nick and team. 💕 It's my birthday tomorrow and there's no better gift than the huge shot of creative inspiration that Ideaverse for Obsidian provides.
Dan Lardi
@karen_hume_profound_journey_ Wowzers! Thank you for making the time in sharing your thoughtful, awesome, and enthusiastic feedback, Karen. Your support means a lot for us. Happy birthday in advance! May you have a wonderful birthday tomorrow, filled with creativity and joy! Sending you positive vibes your way, Karen. :)
Keaton Sondreal
@karen_hume_profound_journey_, thank you so much for sharing these kind words! I can't wait to see what resonates with you in Ideaverse for Obsidian and it's been such a joy seeing your own PKM development over the past year in the LYT Workshops and community.
Owen Marcus
@karen_hume_profound_journey_ Yes, the innovation Nick and his team at Linking Your Thinking brings amazes me. These guys inspire me with my company to continue to produce solid products that serve. I am looking forward to dive in.
Keaton Sondreal
@owenmarcus, I can't wait for you to dive in and really hope you enjoy this latest iteration. There's so much to explore! 🌌 Thanks for your support today, Owen.
Henry F
@karen_hume_profound_journey_ I agree! I'll also point out that you don't have to be an Apple Fan-boy/girl to enjoy. The concepts and approach work on Obsidian anywhere and Nick is always conscious you might be thinking outside the box with another tool or on another platform.
Ric Raftis
It doesn't get any better than this as a training ground for notemaking in Obsidian. It may well start at prep, but will take you all the way to a high school graduation and all the knowledge you need to build your own personal knowledge management system. It is how I started a few years ago and I would highly recommend it as a chance to change your life for the better by note making.
Keaton Sondreal
@ricraftis, always a pleasure to see you! Thanks a lot for the support today and I couldn't agree more!
Dan Lardi
@ricraftis Thank you for your support as always and thank you for sharing your metaphor there, Ric. I like the "...training ground for notemaking in Obsidian" description. :)
Nick Milo
@ricraftis It always means a lot coming from such an active and thoughtful contributor to our burgeoning field of PKM
Nihit Khandelwal
The amount of quality per word in almost everything that the LYT team has touched is just incredible, really happy & excited for the Ideaverse.
Keaton Sondreal
@nihit_khandelwal, thanks a lot for the support today and the kind words!! I hope you're enjoying the Ideaverse for Obsidian and I'll see you in the LYT Community!!
Dan Lardi
@nihit_khandelwal Thank you for taking the time in sharing your kind words, Nihit! Looking forward seeing what you'll learn and come up with in using the Ideaverse! :)
Nick Milo
@nihit_khandelwal "Quality per word" sounds a lot better than "meat per minute"! All joking aside, thank you for finding the density of quality to be so high Nihit :)
Mathias Rhein
As I am following LYT and Nick for quite a while now, I am amazed of this offering. He could have easily charged quite a lot of money from the community, but he is making it free for the sake of distribution and accessibility. What a wonderful gift in a time where exceeding information is causing big paradigm shifts in the world. Both Obsidian and LYT are redefining the thinking space, I am so thankful for this gift and I am sure to pay it back with dividends!
Keaton Sondreal
@mathias_rhein - thank you so much for taking the time to write such kind words of support here. We share the same hopes. We live in this time of information abundance, but it doesn't always make life easier if we can't do anything with the important ideas and knowledge we have. Our hope is this free product continues to help others on their journey with knowledge.
Dan Lardi
@mathias_rhein Thank you for your support as always, Mat! Your kind words encourages us to keep improving. :)
Nick Milo
@mathias_rhein Many thanks! You have a discerning eye and it feels good to have your support here Mat!
Keaton Sondreal
Hi everyone, Keaton here from the LYT Team! 👋 Tens of thousands of note-makers have downloaded the LYT Kit over the past three years and I'm thrilled to help launch this BIG update to it. So big it's been renamed Ideaverse for Obsidian. But it's more than a new name. 📂 The vault has been completely redesigned into the clearest and most effective version yet. ✉️ The included email course offers a practical foundation on personal knowledge management. 🎥 The videos in the course also demonstrate hands-on how Nick uses this system day to day himself as well as you learn to adapt it to **your** own knowledge and efforts. It's a great place to get started because it's an existing vault that's filled with what's possible in personal knowledge management (PKM) and the email course takes you through step-by-step on how to apply it yourself and adapt things to how you work and process information. Not a beginner? Learn new PKM approaches, see new note designs. Test things out before making a big change to your main vault: take it, break it, and download it again. It's the ultimate sandbox and PKM test space. It's been incredible seeing the response so far. Thank you all for being here supporting this launch! I'll be here today with Nick and Dan to help answer any questions you might have so ask away!
Nick Milo
@keatonkeaton Well said Keaton, and thanks for emphasizing the included email course and how the system is meant to be adapted to make it customized and personal for each of us.
Oran Kangas
From the prodigious, prolific, and profusely productive mind of Nick Milo comes yet another ideally iterative idea generator. And the price point of FREE fits snugly into my budget. Truth be told, I would have paid 100, nay 1000 times that!
Nick Milo
@orank Haha, love that. (Quickly doing the math for FREE times 1000...)
Keaton Sondreal
@orank, I wish I could reply with an equally wonderful alliteration but I don't think anyone can top yours! 😃 Thank you so much for supporting the launch today and I hope this does help you become more prolific in your PKM system as well!
Scott Wilson
Nick is one of the brightest minds in PKM and Knowledge Management and Creation spaces there is. His course Linking Your Thinking is legendary!! I'm so excited to see the next edition of his thinking in this space will take us. Couldn't wait to download this PKM App (if I could be so bold to call it that - really it is - an Obsidian App) and play with it. Nick keeps iterating his system and constantly making improvements. Thank you Nick for all have done and continue to do to help us to expand our minds and our thinking!
Keaton Sondreal
It's always great seeing you, @scott_wilson9! Thanks a lot for taking the time to write such a glowing endorsement. I couldn't agree more about how great these iterations have been. I really hope you enjoy these fantastic updates for the Ideaverse for Obsidian and I'll see you in the LYT Community!
Nick Milo
@scott_wilson9 Thank you again Scott, for you continued advocacy of ways to think better, and I'm grateful to be a part of it.

When I first discovered Obsidian about 3 years ago, Nick's previous versions of the Ideaverse for Obsidian kits (first called IMF and later LYT kit) were how I started to wrap my head around how I could use Obsidian in my own life. Being able to explore his sample vault was a great way to not just discover how he organised his notes and his thinking, but it also gave me some insight in what makes good notes. I'm always excited to play with the newest version and see how Nick's thoughts about and working in his PKM have evolved and developed from the previous version. It gives me ideas (sparks) about what to experiment with and adapt for my own ideaverse. Having seen some previews of this newest edition, thank you @nickmilo and team for the massive value you always provide with your free kit.
Keaton Sondreal
I smiled seeing IMF on here, @loes_vm - that was my first experience with Nick's teachings as well! I couldn't agree more about this helping others get a better understanding of making good notes and I know it's changed my own system fundamentally because of it. I really hope to hear how this latest version inspires and impacts your own ideaverse along the way. Thanks for supporting the launch, Loes!
Loes
@keatonkeaton I'm loving the ACE framework and the different intensity levels/priorities for Efforts so far! Hoping to join LYT 12 live next month -- I'll be traveling for 2-3 weeks, so might be a bit tricky, but would love to pop in and out the forum and live calls as time allows.
Keaton Sondreal
@loes_vm, so great to hear so much is resonating already from Ideaverse for Obsidian and it'd be great to have you back for the LYT Workshop 12 if it works out! I look forward to crossing paths then!!
Loes
Me too, @keatonkeaton! I'm going through the recordings of LYT 11, which are great as usual, but I'm missing the excitement and interactions from the live course 😊
René Gyldenlund
I've been waiting for this like a child (or well... myself 😄) for Christmas! This will really level up so many parts of my current Obsidian setup - just like the LYT Kit did. Thanks Nick!
Keaton Sondreal
Thank YOU, @renegpedersen for supporting this launch today. There's a lot to unwrap with this vault so I hope everyday is Christmas for a while for you! 😃🎁
Dan Lardi
@renegpedersen haha! 😁 Thank you, René! Looking forward to learning how you're going to use this as a part of your Obsidian setup.
Nick Milo
@renegpedersen Yay, time to celebrate then. I'm curious what part of Ideaverse for Obsidian will resonate the most
Susan Pearson
Well done Nick, I had today marked on my calendar and couldn't wait to download and play with the Ideaverse. I can make use of so many of the inspirations. The logs are so much better that dropping everything into a daily note, I can revisit that topic next time, health etc rather than losing it in a random daily note somewhere. The sources map with it's call outs look beautiful, I'm going to utilise that. The Efforts in On, Ongoing, Simmering and Sleeping is brilliant. The more I look around I see that the actual structure is really minimal and very attractive and the biggest elements is the data within, As I have played around with my vault and been inspired by so many different people I have realised that more of my vault is dedicated to making lots of things look nice without as much accessibility to the information I need to be seeing. I have been highly inspired to edit my vault to utilise a lot of this thinking, but retaining the sense of me. As someone who often falls for shiny object syndrome I am proud of how I have approached this.
Keaton Sondreal
Thank you so much for taking the time to share, @creativefibro. I appreciate both the thoughtfulness of your commend and the approach in your PKM (also as someone who has struggled with shiny object syndrome in the past). It's great hearing how you plan on personalizing your system with some of this. There's plenty of inspiration to be had and it sounds like you're very mindful to ensure you retain that sense of self in your PKM space as well. I'd be very interested to hear how some of this is integrated into your system in the future and am excited for you as you explore it in your mindful process. Enjoy, Susan! 😃
Nick Milo
@creativefibro Thanks Susan. It's a balancing act. Some of the customization is what makes an ideaverse or PKM system fun to enter and be in. If it's too cold and impersonal, it won't be fun. Hope you find some things that stick from the download. Really enjoyed reading your comment
Henry F
Another excellent evolution of to Nick's effort to help us all do more original thinking and take control of our knowledge. From what I've seen so far, this new framework is open and flexible and will help me to get back to what's important, clarifying, expanding and nurturing "my" ideas and work outputs. This is not another new "demo vault" which forces you to organize and operate under someone else's PKM or Productivity model, this is the framework for your own personal Idea Machine, it is likely to grow with you as it has for me. Philosophy aside, like all of Nick's stuff (LYT, Flight School, and the workshops) the product is very high quality, well-produced, slick, just opinionated enough, and supported by a team of pros.
Keaton Sondreal
Thanks, as always, for supporting the launch, @fishcasa! I appreciate you mentioning how Ideaverse for Obsidian is built to be adapted and I'm really excited to see what and how you incorporate parts of this into your PKM system. It's been really wonderful seeing you demonstrate parts of your system during LYT Workshop showcases and in the Flight School forums. Thanks again, Henry!
Nick Milo
@fishcasa It's a balancing act between being too prescriptive and too broad. I do think this version, while the most prescriptive yet, keeps it's flexibility to adapt to each person.

@skgdkg, thank you so much for sharing. I'm so thrilled that the LYT Kit 7 transformed your PKM workflow and I'm even more excited knowing how much you'll lean into the new features and updates in Ideaverse for Obsidian. It'd be great to hear more on how you're applying the structure and concepts in the future. Thanks again!
Slayga
This is the ONE THING that will skyrocket the power and leverage of your PKM, hands down. What Nick has created with this system, is something so revolutionary, that this release may very well go down in history as one of the digital ages greatest moments. Why are you still reading this? Download and get intimately connected with your new Ideaverse now...
Keaton Sondreal
Thanks a lot for the support today, @slayga! I can't wait to see what you do with the Ideaverse for Obsidian in your system! 🌌
Dan Lardi
@slayga Thank you for the support and enthusiastic comment! Glad to know that Nick's system is helpful for you and that you describe it as "the ONE thing that skyrockets" one's PKM. Sending you positive vibes your way! :)
Erik Accart-Huemer
I love obsidian and Nick helped a lot to understand and use it. thank you!
Keaton Sondreal
Thanks a lot for sharing, @erikwien! I'm glad it's been helpful for you and hope this latest version helps you leverage Obsidian and the power of a linked system even further!
Ales
I really like the design and can't to wait to dig into it deeper. I've felt inspired by the LYT kit and it helped me to focus more on "doing" rather than just "collecting".
Keaton Sondreal
Thanks for the support today, @aneube! I really like you mentioning "doing" rather than just "collecting" as it's broken many, myself included, free from the trap of over-collection. I hope to hear more on what you're doing with it in the future.
Liana Romulo
There’s no question that having a tool like Obsidian will enhance your writing, your creativity, your thinking … and indeed your LIFE! But getting skillful in using this cutting edge tool takes time and a lot of trial and error. I’ve explored Nick Milo’s earlier Obsidian kits. They’ve jumpstarted my PKM on so many levels, and I’m really excited to jump into this latest incarnation.
Keaton Sondreal
So great to hear, @lianaromulo1! You're right that Obsidian can be a lot of trial and error and taking time to dial things in. Our hope is that Ideaverse for Obsidian helps inspire many with its practical examples of notes, templates, workflows, and so much more. I can't wait for you to explore this latest update and thanks a lot for your continued support!! 🙌
August Bradley
Amazing as always Nick! What a pioneering approach to Obsidian and Knowledge Management. Can't wait to dive deeper into your latest creation here.
Nick Milo
@augustbradley And as always August, it means a lot to have your vote of interest, with your deep understanding of systems and productivity, and well-measured solutions 🙏
Keaton Sondreal
Thank you so much for supporting the launch, @augustbradley. I really hope you enjoy exploring Ideaverse for Obsidian!
Bill Seitz
(This format reminds me of RoamBooks - remember those?) http://webseitz.fluxent.com/wiki...
Keaton Sondreal
Interesting link, @bill_seitz - I can see what you mean where it's a little bit of an offline wiki as far as content. I hope you enjoy the vault and learn a lot along the way!
Nick Milo
@bill_seitz Ah how cool to make your website. I suppose there are some similarities with RoamBooks, along with all the differences. I missed that, but it sounds pretty cool!
Vishesh Nagpal
Super stoked!
Keaton Sondreal
@visheshnagpal - thanks for supporting the launch!! I hope you're enjoying Ideaverse for Obsidian! 🌌
