Does @loewhaley know about this?
Akash Rajpurohit
@viky_koval Yes, I have shot a DM mentioning it and added links (on the website and GitHub) to her content page on Instagram. Based on the responses, I am looking into possibilities of proofreading the content and make it a bit more suitable for the audience. Please feel free to share your thoughts as well 😊

@loewhaley @quinn_n Exactly! Have been following her for half a year or so. For me, she's definitely an icon for classy "corporate humor" :D

Hahaha, this is awesome! It reminds me of the memes, there are a few things that I think would make this EPIC! - Reviews or upvotes of each comment. (It'd rock to see what's working for people and what backfired. e.g. I would never use the "I am confident in my ability to complete this project and will be sure to reach out, if or when I require your input." one.) - Easier additions. Emailing additions to these is a bit clunky imo, if user submissions were accepted, an upvote/review system would ensure the best 'translations' would rise to the top. Great tool and congrats on the launch Akash!

@jamesskon I concur! Great idea, on having a way to upvote comments based on how effective they've been. A way of crowdsourcing the best and most useful phrases.

@jamesskon Hey, thanks for the inputs. I definitely agree that collaborating via emails is not the best solution here and if it has to be truly crowdsourced then I need to find a better way that the current setup which is via GitHub issues. I don't want to have spam bot comments but going through an user authentication seems bit too much maybe? πŸ€” I'll definitely rethink about how I can improve this flow, please feel free to share your thoughts directly here or email. Thanks once again 😁

@akash_rajpurohit Wonder if it could be something like Rational Wiki's current events: https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Ra... (Upvote/downvote limited to 1 per IP.) I'll come back here if I see any easy solutions. :)
Akash Rajpurohit
@jamesskon Doing it via IP does make sense, will do some research to understand about it drawbacks. I want to avoid bot users spamming the site with these requests as this is something I've seen happening before with this website :)

πŸ‘‹ Hey Product Hunt! Trying out by launching my first project on product hunt. πŸŽ‰ How to professionally say is a site which provides information about some common phrases we might want to say to your colleagues but want to make it sound more professional. The data is sourced from the content created by @loewhaley on Instagram. The data is easily searchable with an option to do a reverse lookup. It started as a fun weekend activity, but surprisingly it got a lot of traction from the community, especially from Hacker News and Reddit. Since then, I have improved the site and added a couple of new features. I hope to improve the content and make it more suitable for the users. I would love to hear your thoughts on how I can improve it 😊 Links: Site: https://howtoprofessionallysay.a... GitHub: https://github.com/AkashRajpuroh... Blog: https://akashrajpurohit.com/blog...

An interesting project, but the main thing is that @loewhaley should not have copyright issues later ..
Akash Rajpurohit
@ksenijaluskina I hope not, nevertheless I have reached out to her regarding the project, and I am happy to discuss that out if and when needed and happy to restructure the content 😊

Looks like a handy piece of language resources for non-native professionals :)
Akash Rajpurohit
@gary_pu There is a plan to add translations so that it can be more helpful for people who don't speak in English much, let me know if you have any thoughts on this. πŸ˜„

Nice work! But instead of a static website, why not open it up for alternative submission? Then u have crowdsourced content and u just curate them.
Akash Rajpurohit
@vincent_lee11 Thanks for sharing your inputs, definitely going towards crowdsourced data makes a lot more sense for this type of application, I'm curious to understand what sort of flow would make this process better streamlined πŸ€”. Do you think adding a google form to collect the data and displaying them on the site with voting system make sense? Or would it be better to have a direct comment system added to the system (with anon users as well?) to collect users thoughts? Please feel free to share your thoughts directly here or via email. πŸ˜„
