Really like this idea. My wife and I have been using mint for a while but it's inability to "add partner" is such a huge headache(this could have been solved since I last looked). Will definitely check this out.

@jaredhenriques Thanks Jared! We hope to expand up north soon :)

Hey Product Hunt! I’m the co-founder and CPO of Honeyfi. For lots of couples, money is a big source of tension. We built Honeyfi to help couples stress less and do more with their money. We started with everyday finances like spending, budgets, and bills. But working together on money is about more than just what you’ve spent. It’s also about planning for the future. So today, we’re officially launching Goals, a feature that makes it easy for couples to save for their goals, big or small. Here’s how it works: *Create shared or individual savings goals for anything from a big vacation to your first home *Choose a simple savings rule, like a percentage of your income or a set weekly amount *Based on your rules, we automatically transfer money to your goals *Your money is FDIC-insured up to $250,000 *Earn a 1% annual savings bonus (paid every 3 months) We just went through the Barclays Accelerator powered by Techstars, and we’re super excited about launching on Product Hunt. Let us know what you think!

@sam_schultz1 I now use this app constantly to keep an eye on our spending and stick to (or at least try) a solid budget, its the best app I’ve found for easily managing shared finances. I’m especially psyched for the new goals feature! I’m curious though (mostly because I don’t know much about banking+accounts) if I can know more about how the money is stored, and what the benefits are of transferring vs something like just visually representing the saved categories? I’m excited either way, this is giving me the extra push to start setting money aside for a fence in our backyard.

I’m here too. I’m the co-founder and CEO of Honeyfi. Happy to hear all of your feedback and answer any questions!

Last but not least, I’m the co-founder and COO of Honeyfi. Let us know what you think!

@joestanish Is there a deep integration into the users financial institution? Love this concept and plan to use it for fun with my wife. Keep up the great work!
Sam Schultz
@joestanish @alok_ahuja Subbing in for Joe here. Awesome to hear! Yes, we connect with your financial institution to pull back your transactions and balance info. And when you create a goal and link your account to it, we automate the transfers to your goal for you.

@joestanish @sam_schultz1 Amazing! I'm in Canada, so looks like I might have to wait. However, I'll be rooting you guys on until then. Keep crushing it!
Sam Schultz
@joestanish @alok_ahuja Oh man! Unfortunately, we're not in Canada yet. But it's coming. Thanks so much!!!

This is the feature that you wish your bank had...very simple but smart idea. The 1% kicker to your savings is well above the rates most bank accounts would pay so that's an added bonus!
Joe Stanish
@mitchell_zalko Thanks Mitch!

One of the best savings apps I’ve seen. Beautiful UI and seamless integration makes this much more enjoyable than the Mints or PocketGuards of the world. The added benefit of a significant other that is happier also helps :)
Sam Schultz
@shea_parikh Wooh! Really glad you and the SO are enjoying the app so far. :)
Charley Ma
congrats on the launch! how did you all meet + decide to work on this problem? :)
Sam Schultz
Thanks @charleyma! We actually met during undergrad at Wake Forest (go Demon Deacons!) and years later, discovered that we each had similar struggles trying to work with our partners on money. We realized we were making the biggest decisions with our significant others, but every tool available was designed for one person, not two. We also realized we weren't alone. So we decided to build the solution ourselves. And here we are.

Love this app already and very excited about the upgrade with goals - this will make a big impact on our roadmap to being financially healthy!!

Love this app! Easy to use and invite your partner so you can be transparent on financial goals you have together. You can also share or hide as many transactions as you want to keep your privacy as well! If there are any alerts or "suspicious" transactions you can let your partner know instantaneously. UI is well thought out and beautifully designed for dual usage. Works well as a single user too as I drive most of the financial decisions for my partner and I.
Sam Schultz
@maya_n_brooks Great points! A lot of couples catch fraudulent or mistaken charges they'd otherwise miss. Usually the "household CFO" catches those, which it sounds like you are. :)

Amazing team! Was an honor working alongside them at the Barclays Accelerator. They’re super dedicated to their users and it shows in their product. This is a really exciting update; they’re now the most functional and powerful couple’s finance in the market, and will only continue to get better!
Sam Schultz
Thanks, @tim061693! We're blushing. ☺️ ☺️ ☺️

Congrats on the launch! I've seen your live pitch somewhere a long time ago (I can't remember where) and it's awesome to see this vision come to life. I'll be using it to save up for my next vacation. Keep up the good work.
Sam Schultz
Thanks, @creativitypizza! Very cool to hear you've kept up with us for a while. Hope we help you have an awesome vacation!

I love that this app is so simple to use and always has a conversational tone. One of the biggest impediments to good financial planning for couples is that everyone knows that the subject is just so dry and boring. Which is awful, because it's obviously crucial. From what I can tell, this app isn't trying to make it sexy (that would be impossible), but at least is trying to make it feel human. Great work!
Ramy Serageldin
@bmdoty501 Thanks so much for the kind words!

We are in an app bubble. There's an app for literally everything. It's not apparent to me that this helps anyone's life. There's still an underlying thing that's not addressed with any app. Do you people want to even possibly start to change?

I started using this produce a couple of months ago and it's really impressive. It's better than HoneyDue. After I started using it, the company was bought and rebranded to Firstly. The whole interface changed and it's really an amazing looking app. Can't wait to see what's next!
