Having suffered production outages due to expiring SSL certificates myself, I was keen on solving this problem in a better way. No more 'tell me which hosts and I'll monitor them'. Instead, let haveibeenexpired.com discover all the relevant hosts in your domains, and monitor them for you!

Love this. Will make handling client domains much easier!

@mahmoudswehli Thanks! Do tell more about the 'client domains' usecase, I'd love to learn.

@adrukh basically i've started testing offering a IT as a service service for a few SMB clients where i run their emails and website and Saas products. I host all websites on shared kubernetes + istio cluster, which uses letsencrypt and DNS based authentication for the certificate. I've had 2 main issues which are difficult to catch with standard monitoring tools as those are more for what happens inside the cluster; - The domain expiring, which often we dont control, as everyone prefers to stay in control of their own domain - People deleting service accounts and txt or cname records needed for verifying your domain with letsencrypt. A service like this just makes life easier, very easy to set up, and catches things that the istio service monitor tools would otherwise not, and especially things which are outside of our control and responsibility. It adds an extra level of protection.

@mahmoudswehli Thanks for the detailed response! Let me know if there's anything I can improve in the service to better suit your needs :)

This is a really cool product! How did no one think about this before? Great work Anton! Looking forward to how this advances.

@liran_tal1 Thanks Liran! I have to admit that it is ProductHunt that showed me a bunch of alternative solutions to this problem which I didn't know about :) But this is an amazing validation signal for me - I don't want to solve a problem that no one else wants to solve too.
