Here are some testimonials from early adopters "We've enjoyed it so much! It brings out a fun, competitive aspect of our relationship while helping us learn more about each other!" Kyle and Lauren "The quizzes themselves don't take more than five minutes a day but the debates about where the best place to sit in the theater is and stories about how we've each been caught in an Internet scam have been the real best part of the app." Alexis and Taylor

@arnaudlm @julien_robert @riaface Would be awsome if there would be a german version. I could help with the translating ;)
Arnaud Le Mérour
@phippuuuu yes, we would love to spread good vides all over the world. The app is available so far in English and French but we aim to add many more languages included German in the next months. Thank for the help :)
Diana Gochgarian
Great app! It works perfectly well, and the content is very interesting! Good luck @arnaudlm!
Jason Shultz
Love the app. My only complaint (and this is my ONLY complaint), is that you set a limit of 6-12 characters. I'm excited to see what my wife's answers are going to be. :)
Arnaud Le Mérour
@thehashrocket Good point. We aim to build a better app release after release. I am sure your wife will LOVE this game with you :)
Benjamin Hilborn
This is such a great idea for an app, and it's really well designed, but holy moly it's incredibly buggy and slow on my iPhone 6. This could make it hard for one half of a partnership to convince the other half to use it regularly.
Julien Robert
@benjamin_hilborn Thanks for the comment. Our cofounder did learn material design while working at Google as a UI/UX designer so she will appreciate your compliment! Sorry about the slowness, there are a lot of people playing today :)
Steven Rueter
Is this a Valentine's Day novelty app one-off sort of thing, or is this a startup?
Arnaud Le Mérour
@rueter Yes, we believe we can use technology to apply the science of relationship therapy to actually prevent communication problems from developing.
Steven Rueter
@arnaudlm that's actually very interesting. Which models are you using?
Arnaud Le Mérour
@rueter We are data driven and our great co founder Dr @lonnie_barbach brings her amazing expertise to build an adapted experience for each user.
Andy Cook
This is kind of like a multiple choice Newly Weds Game, but less free because you get prebaked multiple choice answers. From the app description I expected this to send a question to both you and your partner, you both respond, then you see each other's answer. Would be a good way to learn something new about your partner. e.g. What's your favorite food?, what are you listening to today? Not sure I'd want to use the multiple choice answer because I'd just be guessing "what is my partner most likely to pick?" vs. learning something new about them.
Arnaud Le Mérour
@andygcook yes, checking your assumptions about your Significant Other. Lean Startup for Relationships 💖 💖 💖

Nicely released on Valentine's Day! Absolutely love new apps for couples. Most of the ones that exist in the market are either badly designed or too complicated! This is a great addition - will be getting (forcing) my boy friend to use this. :)
Julien Robert
@j_ennychu Thank you!! If he needs to be forced the first day, he might be the one forcing you the following days :)
Dominik Bleilevens
I'm a bit skeptical about the digital approach as I think it is more important to talk to each other in person. Think about if you can implement this from a user journey and design approach, so the app is the trigger and you actively encourage to talk in person instead of "just" gaining points.
Arnaud Le Mérour
@beleevens This is the purpose of the APP: to motivate partner to open up discussions day after day and to tear down taboos in a positive way. it should be natural and endless but build a healthy relationship is not so easy for everyone.
Brennan McEachran
I'm always interested in two player only apps. So curious how you handle on boarding etc. Thought you did a great job. I answered as I await her eventual sign up. Can't wait to see what she says
Julien Robert
@i_am_brennan iterations after iterations... after iterations! Thanks for your comment and I hope you'll enjoy it
Haoyang Feng
Very interesting idea! Very cute :)
Mac Connolly
Great app. Any thoughts on going back to the previous question? The impulsive among us tap the first thing and because the app moves on automatically it would be nice to go back to the previous question.
Julien Robert
@macconnollyco on the to do list...
Vincent Nallatamby
Cool product! I tried with my co-founder, not sure it was the best idea...
Julien Robert
@vnallatamby never too late to realize... :)
Esat Dergi
Great job, keep it simple!
Théo Blochet
Tried this tonight with @dinabogelita : design/UX feels like a first iteration, but the content/questions are definitely entertaining! Looking forward to trying it over a longer period of time to see if it sticks!
Arnaud Le Mérour
@theoblochet @dinabogelita good to hear your feedback. Yes, we need to iterate to enhance the App.
Théo Blochet
@arnaudlm If you didn't feel like you needed to iterate, you'd have launched too late ;) Keep up the great work!
Ekaterina Kostomarova
Got several bugs on Android. Idea is good. I would like to see question above the answer options and more interesting (ethical, moral) questions that can lead to discussions
Arnaud Le Mérour
@cherrywins Hi. Yes, we keep improving it release after release. Good suggestion about the title. And be sure we have many ethical/moral questions in the library to open up discussions.
Veronica Belmont
I was excited to try this, but nothing worked. Even though I sent my SO an invite, it never connected us (even after he completed the onboarding). I tried to send him another invite, but it said his email was "already registered." The menus for adding relationship data were impossible to select, and half of it wasn't saved. Just technically not there yet. We both gave up before even getting to any quizzes. Too bad!
Arnaud Le Mérour
@veronica sorry for this experience certainly due to a cross invitation :/ I can help you. write me at team@happycoupleapp.com.
Veronica Belmont
@arnaudlm @happycoupleapp He used my invite link to sign up, so I'm not sure why that wouldn't work. Unfortunately, my husband has little patience for these things and was only signing up because I asked him (lol) so I'm afraid the moment has passed. Definitely pay close attention to the invite system and the onboarding menus for the next release!
Arnaud Le Mérour
@veronica agree, less friction is needed! we can do better
Alex Bauer
Been trying this for the last month, and we like it a lot. Two pieces of feedback: 1. I'm not sure what non-native platform you guys are using, but I strongly recommend switching to something else. The app is great, but the UX is frustrating enough that I've considered uninstalling it. 2. You CANNOT send sexual-themed push notifications to a user's device. Ever. That happened this this afternoon and Happy Couple instantly lost push privileges on my phone.
Eralp Bayraktar
@alexdbauer I liked the idea but I am wondering which cross-platform framework is capable of providing such a bad UX :(

Why do you require a password when using Facebook Connect in a mobile-only sign-up flow? It's such an anti-pattern and forces the user to start a password manager, log in, create a new entry for your service, generate a password, copy it, switch back to your app, hoping it's still in the sign-up flow and hasn't been force-stopped by the OS, and paste it into your sign-up form. Kinda misses the point with single sign-on.
