gpic - Free image optimizer & hosting service

Either you are posting something on Reddit, DEV, Indiehackers, or any other place, you need to host your images somewhere. gpic is the simplest way to do that! Automatically optimizes images whenever possible and it does it for free . 📸⚡️📁

Handy tool! I've traditionally used S3 to host images, but this seems like a more casual alternative for stuff that's not sensitive

@iamkunkel Thanks Alec. Yeh, I am usually on Reddit, Indiehackers, DEV, and posting issues on Github, all accept markdown, and that is why I built it. v2 will have the option to decide for how long image should be stored, and many more features. :)

Hey folks! From the series: "Scratch your own itch". 😅 I am always posting something where markdown is accepted and I always need to 1) host my image, and 2) add the link to the markdown code before posting on places like Reddit, DEV, etc... That is why I built *gpic*. Clean UI, easy to use, and fast. It solves my problem now! Drop the image and copy the markdown! -- That's it. ⚡️ Hopefully, it can be useful to others as well. 🤓 Open to any feedback or features that you need. 🥊

Hey I open the link and it says that access is denied. When I go back to the app to check other sharing options, the app has already reset to the beginning state. Btw it's a good small project. Congrats.

@uahnbu Nguyen, wow, thanks for giving it a try. What I just did: 1. Uploaded an image 2. Tested the 3 options: markdown, share, and link All of them worked. I copied the "share" link and opened in a new tab, it worked. The same for the "link". When you click in one of the 3 options to get a link, none of them reload the page or open any tab. Can you try again, and see if that works please? If not, please, give me the link you opened that you got the "access denied". I'm on and if there is anything, I will fix it now. :D Thanks for your words!

@llimabr It's weird that all three options don't work for me. When I open this link https://gpic.site/HH4mlrez_ it shows no image, only the alt text "image uplaoded by user".
