TL;DR go to www.gofccyourself.com and support net neutrality by adding your support for Title II (when the FCC website is back up again). --- 3 years ago John Oliver and Last Week Tonight urged people to go to the FCC's website and tell them to preserve strong net neutrality neutrality rules and Title II (we succeeded). Net Neutrality and Title II are now under threat again... and the FCC made their process for submitting your views on the issue very very very long, as you can see here: So the team @LastWeekTonight bought the URL gofccyourself.com (brilliant) which directs you right to the part of the website you need to get to for submitting your opinion on Title II. AKA here: https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/search/... Look how easy it is! P.S. The FCC website is down at the moment. Credit to John Oliver and the team.

@nivo0o0 @lastweektonight I... think I submitted? It's crazy how confusing it still is, even after being jumped right to the correct results page

It's blank...

@mitchellgeere it's down (the FCC website) from all the traffic Last Week Tonight is sending them. (gofccyourself.com is a redirect for the FCC website)

@mitchellgeere yep still down here too.

I bet someone from the community will make a Isgofccyourselfdown.com website watch before the FCC website recovers 😅

Thank you, John Oliver. Glad this is getting the attention it needs.

I've been trying to access the site since last night but keep getting a blank screen. Maybe the FCC has no incentive to fix the traffic or page issue?

Still down (8-5-2017)

@shardulg23 here's the fixed URL you should visit to file a complaint and crash the FCC site: https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/search-...

Anyone else getting an error on the Name of Filers field?

it's really hard not to love John Oliver

The website is in and out, keep checking back throughout the day.

A better submission site from the EFF: DearFCC.org. It won't crash, has suggested content (randomized, so you pass the Turing test), and actually connects you to a network of people fighting for the long haul.

I completed my submission during the show on Sunday evening and noticed something really interesting...as of Sunday evening around 11:30 PM CST, the redirect & main FCC site was working and I was able to complete my submission. At the time I completed my submission, there were around 180k other submissions. As of this posting, there have been 730k submissions since the original request opened on 4/26/2017 with over 550k in the last few days (about 400k since I made mine on Sunday evening - https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/search/... ). I looked around a bit and found this link that lets you browse popular proceedings ( https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/browse-... ) - what amazed me was that when John Oliver first attempted to raise awareness and drive submissions back in 2014 for 14-28 - Protecting and Promoting the Open Internet - Feb 19, 2014 ( https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/search/... ), the site crashed also though they were able to receive around 2.2 million comments and filings (with around 8000 submitted in the last 30 days alone). Share this link far and wide - the momentum for the latest effort has already dwarfed that of the previous effort in the first few days!

Still down...

Edit: working as of 8AM PST 5/8. Took few minutes to load.

I'm up voting this simply for the name, but am still having problems accessing it

One of these days I might forget which country I'm in and believe the constant assumption that I must be in the U.S, it's like most American developers have never heard of geolocation.
Troy Clark
@ianmayman this is just a redirect to the FCC, which is an American government agency...?
Ian
@raptblue I know, I just wish emails I get would take into account where I am and not send me things only relevant to Americans.

#NetNeutrality is a great thing and I love what John Oliver is doing to protect it. We should be loud about not just that the Internet should be a neutral space, but also why it is important. When you send the message to FCC, add why this matters to you. For me, it matters that I can work from anywhere and leverage this amazing resource to fuel present and future projects that add value to society. Imagine if electricity was not neutral and the electrical company could choose which appliances it would power - like your vacuum cleaner, TV, but not your PS4. How would your life change?

I like my zero rated data way too much to support this!
