Spending money culture in the US versus the rest of the world
I would like to warn you in advance that I do not want to offend any culture or country with this post. It only demonstrates observations from my own experience.
6 months ago, I had a conversation with a friend and we got to the topic of money.
That conversation concluded that Americans ๐บ๐ธ were born with a wallet in their hand and have no problem paying for products (any, even less useful ones) while other countries are very hesitant.
When I worked in customer support, I noticed that the least willingness to pay or the most complaints on pricing came from people from India ๐ฎ๐ณ and some European countries. ๐ช๐บ (*The pricing tiers were customised to regions.)
People from Africa ๐, India ๐ฎ๐ณ and Turkey ๐น๐ท asked for a free product or a discounted price the most.
And people from China ๐จ๐ณ or Japan ๐ฏ๐ต had no problem paying.
๐ What "spending money" culture have you observed from your own experience? Can you also share the product you offer? Because the pricing matters as well as the industry.
๐ค Why is it so like that? [your guess]
๐ Do you think that Americans are the most open when it comes to buying products? Or do you consider any other nation to be more prone to spend money?
