Use the hard copy and love it. Great way to start off your day and end it. Adopted it after reading: The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod

@augustnoble I've been considering reading it as well since I heard him on Jaime Tardy's @eventualmillion podcast (one of the few podcasts I always enjoy listening to by the way).

I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like a beautiful app. @AlexIkonn can you tell us about the app and the whole 5 minute journal project? Should people go with the app or the physical journal? How should I decide? :) Also, what's new in this release?
Alex Ikonn
@gregoiregilbert Thank you for the feature. The Five Minute Journal is the simplest, most effective thing you can do everyday to be happier. We've combined several positive psychology techniques into a simple proven method that only takes you five minutes to do. The physical journal has now sold over 100,000 copies and is what I personally use on a daily basis. This brand new app has been re-created from scratch as our first app wasn't up to standard our audience expects from us. The app is made for people who prefer using an app vs. physical journals. The app also has daily photo feature that can help you store positive memories from that day. Also, daily inspiring quotes and notifications, etc.

@alexikonn My pleasure. Been following you on Instagram for a while and I enjoy the quality of your content. Saw you the first time on the ask @garyvee show :)

@gregoiregilbert If you're looking to choose between the app or the physical journal, go with your gut. Do you prefer pen and paper? Pick the physical. Do you prefer being reminded via the app and filling it out digitally? Get the app. Thank you for hunting!

I've had the hard-cover paper version...and its ok. I find structured, prompted journaling to confining. I prefer Day One over this, especially now that they enabled the IFTTT channel.

Not to be *that guy* but I already bought this for $5 - why can't I just update to get this version? Or is this a different company making the same app?
Alex Ikonn
@samchristie Hey Sam, the app was re-built from scratch and we did our best to work with our developers to port the data and make just an update but it couldn't be salvaged based on how the previous app was built. E-mail us at hello@fiveminutejournal.com and we will get you the new app free of charge.

I've the hard cover book since December. I can never stick to journaling but I'm in it for the mindset shift and I love it so far. So I purchased this the day it was released and I actually love it more than the physical journal! It's got everything the physical journal has with daily photo option, shareable daily quotes, and the convenience of an app.

I've had this idea for a while! Great execution!

it looks like " Timenote - social tool " with less features Timenote is a mobile app, the first social calendar online since 2015. Follow what you like and don't miss an event! Timenote does also synchronisation like Sunrise, with Google calendar, Outlook, FB Event, Meetup, Eventbrit, Evernote. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/... https://play.google.com/store/ap... www.gotimenote.com

I bought a few hard copies to give them as gifts to my friends. Personally, I use the app and I consider moving this ritual to Roam Research altogether.
