Ferris - More activities with your friends

Ferris is a mobile app to plan real life activities with your closest friends.
The feed is a list of activities where you’re welcome to join but with low pressure to accept. This feed is short by design and not a destination with endless scrolling.

Hi PH! My name is Roberto and I’m the founder of Ferris, a social network that lets you plan and join real life activities with your 20 closest friends. - Spontaneous activities like a ☕ coffee on the next break - Blurry ones like going to the 🍿 movies someday/somewhere next month - Repetitive ones like going 👟 running during the summer - Planned ones like a 🎸 concert this Friday FEATURES - Free plan (receive unlimited activities, send 8 monthly) Paid plan ($9.99 yearly) - No ads, no data selling - Indie - Invite only - Privacy-minded CURRENT ALTERNATIVES As an introvert, with a family, and in my 40s I have found it very difficult to have time with my friends. Existent options have their limitations, which is normal because they are not trying to solve this problem: - 📅 FB events or Google calendar invites feel too formal, there’s not really a way to say “I’m going for an ice cream in 10min, who wants to come?”. - 💬 Messaging apps have a conversational flow and it’s difficult to keep the conversation into a topic. - ✉️ Email has too much back & forth THE PROBLEM We live in a super-connected era and try to connect via social media, but screen interactions are not as satisfactory as real life ones, and some of them are borderline dystopian. Also, the business model of most apps is based on ads that incentivize compulsive use and data selling. I want to fix that with an app that is a tool and not an attention grabber, where you're the client and the business goals are aligned with you, and where interactions make you feel better in a healthy way and not in an addictive one. GIVE IT A TRY Inviting your 3 best friends could help you to see the dynamic.

@roberto_martinez Congratulations on the launch! Ferris could be addressing the need-gap: 'A simple event management platform' - https://needgap.com/problems/371... posted on my problem validation forum. If so, You're welcomed to explain how it addresses that problem; So those who need Ferris can find it easily.

Hi @roberto_martinez, do you have any timeline for when you will open up for more countries? I am super eager to explore the app and I already have a few friends that would be interested in trying it out. We are currently fighting in between multiple messaging apps where we have groups ranging from 4-20 people who we do small spontanous gatherings with. And the linear format of messaging apps are just awful for events and Facebook Event / Google Calender are nice for making the events a little bit more attractive (pictures, description, etc.), but they are way to formal and takes time to setup. The desgins+feature set is so cute so I am a big fan already!

@frans_larsen Thanks for your comments! Where are you located? Ferris is available in US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and EU. It's just translated to EN ES FR. If for some reason is not available in your country and you want to give it a try with your friends, let me know.

@roberto_martinez My mistake! It is just extremely hard to find via Searching on App Store :-) I am based in Denmark, but I got it now. Thanks!
