What benefits does this have over Canny? You cost the same (and look the same too).

@highaced Hello Jordan, I don't know Canny that good to to tell you exactly. But we sure are similar. There are many new tools that operate in this area. FeedBear came from a personal need and I thought – why not build this for anybody to use? It's still early to tell how, but I'm sure our customers' specific needs will separate us further down the road.

@highaced @tmvst I can't believe you don't know about them... I mean the UI is exactly the same (your second screenshot)... for anyone interested in this product... just go directly to the real innovators https://canny.io/

@tmvst @plehoux This is clearly a Canny rip, no doubt about it. But I think that's OK, companies copy each other all the time, and it's usually good for the consumer (that's us). But where I'm struggling here is the identical pricing. If the price is the same, then it's going to come down to quality and value for money. Canny is made by Xooglers so there's an implied level of quality there, they've been around for longer, and it's a more mature product, so I'm struggling to understand why I would choose this over Canny. That's what I meant in my original post. I would typically expect a copy-cat product to be considerably cheaper, like 50%, especially as this type of service is cheap to scale and running costs will be low.

I run my own product so I decided to give it a shot and integrate FeedBear. I plan to share a link with my customers in the upcoming newsletter so will see if they give me some feedback.

Pros:

- Super easy to use

- Intercom integration

Cons:

- I wish there would be some video walkthrough

@tmvst, Do you plan to do outbound sales for this product ? If yes, a) Target recently funded SaaS start-ups. Since they have raised funding, they would be spending money on marketing. More marketing >> More users >> More feedback. b) Target companies who are hiring for customer success. Since they are hiring for this role, it means they want success for customers. Hence your product.
Tomáš Vestenický
@shreyaa_ratra yes, the option b is interesting, thank you :)

I like how you can get it setup in < 60 seconds for your startup hosted on their subdomain. Worth looking at for startups on a budget who can't afford expensive bulky competitors.

Pros:

Really clean and lightweight. Super intuitive to use

Cons:

I'd like to have the ability to use my own domain as well.

Hello Product Hunt! 👋 This is my first project launching here and I'm really excited! The problem: Feedback from customers is essential, but it can be a mess. It comes through many channels. You try to organize it, but it's hard and time-consuming to keep up. The solution: FeedBear provides a central hub for all feedback from your customers. They can post it directly or via handy Intercom integration. Voting and discussions create a collaborative environment and help your team prioritize. When the time comes, you mark ideas with tags indicating your progress. This automatically notifies everyone who voted. Live example: 9Folders use FeedBear to collect feedback on their popular (1M downloads) email app Nine: https://nine-android.feedbear.com/ I'm looking forward to YOUR feedback and comments! And of course, you can always post your ideas here: https://feedback.feedbear.com/ 😉 🙀 Deal alert: First 10 of you who use code PRODUCTHUNT get 20% off FeedBear forever.
some name

Blatant ripoff of another more mature product with very limited functionality and no advantage whatsoever

Pros:

canny.io ripoff

Cons:

canny.io ripoff, limited, expensive

I think that it's great people are making new products and learning about creating a SaaS company but this is clearly a clone of Canny.
Tomáš Patoprstý

I looked for something like Github issues but more friendly for users without tech knowledge. So far it seems like a good alternative to what was I looking for :-)

Pros:

Simple, usable, 3rd party, notifications

Cons:

Haven't found out yet

Yohan Oh

I think that this service is better than the Uservoice.

Pros:

Yes, it's great service letting know to hear customers' requirements and what they want. In aspect of service quality is very excellent.

Cons:

I don't have a special complaint on this service. Very satisfied.

Babken Karapetyan
Congratulation you, in my opinion this is pretty good
Tomáš Patoprstý
Looking good and usable :-) Are you planning to add some coupons or special offers for startup apps?
Tomáš Vestenický
@tpatoprsty Thanks Tomas, there's a PH launch coupon I mentioned in the first comment :)
Vladimir Babić
Tomas, congrats on #3 on PH. This reminds me a lot to https://cnflx.io how does it differ from competition and what is your plan for future updates?
Tomáš Vestenický
@vladdesign Thank you! I didn't know Conflux. Competition is mostly complicated and bloated with features. I built FeedBear as a simple and lightweight alternative to Uservoice. Honestly, I didn't do much research of other competition (mistake #1). Regarding future updates, I plan to focus on extracting useful information from the feedback and metadata around it. People who give feeback are the most valuable customers who shape our products. Currently it's complicated for businesses to identify them. I think FeedBear can help with that.

Pricing is fairly prohibitive for very early stage / bootstrapping startups - a key demographic that badly needs something like this.
Max Bloom
@mickc79 Totally agree with you here. I've been talking with Tomas and he definitely has user's interests at heart.
Vlad Calus
How's it different from http://cnflx.io ?
Vitold Sedyshev
Extermly high proce $50 per two page with customer and other. I think maximum price is no more $2 per month or $20 per year.
Kamil Rejent
@vit1251 Are you for real? You know running a company costs money - how many licences would he need to sell at that price to afford one developer like yourself? That is not a mass market product like Spotify... On the other hand - is the value voluntary feedback from users kept in one place something you would pay a few dollars per month?
Vitold Sedyshev
@kamilrejent Actually, I understand that high price is result create commercial company and pay tax and pay each other law grants. I think that question about product price depend from ecosystem price. I totally sure when you create small solution you should find way to minimize product price for your customer using business aggregator service until service is growth. Right now it look like a small solution with extremly high price. Sorry for that my direct think.
