I'll take my chances with literally any other source of news, thanks. A platform that allows lies in its ads is not a viable option for news.

@abadesi Same here. I'm going to try it. It's not easy to make balance between the ads and real good content, especially for the giant with huge users. But they have to do.

I'll try, but I'm a Google News fan. I am also worried about the news I get if Facebook's algorithm is preferably supporting outrageous post. So what will it do with news?

I will only install this app, if it in turn removes all 3rd party news stories from the regular feed in the main Facebook app. If it did that, I would install it, but not use it.
