Excelformulabot.com - Turn your text instructions into an Excel formula via AI

WHAT IS IT?: Excelformulabot.com provides 750M+ Excel & Google Sheets users with a faster and smarter way to work in spreadsheets - using AI! Excel users no longer need to conduct Google searches, looking high and low on Stack Overflow or Excel tips & tricks website, to find the right formula. Excelformulabot.com users type in the problem they are trying to solve ("Sum column A when column B ends with the word "hello") and the AI bot provides the exact formula, which can quickly be copied and pasted into the user's spreadsheets. The site also has a reverse formula lookup, where users can copy a formula into the AI generator and it will provide an explanation of the formula and it's operations. Based on user feedback, the site now offers multi-language formula translations. Sadly, most of the documentation and write-ups on Excel is only in English. Excelformulabot.com resonates well with non-English speakers, particularly the Hispanic community, as it offers translation services. MY STORY: It's crazy to think that a month a half ago I built excelformulabot.com as a pet project while on paternity leave. I shared the site on the /Excel subreddit to get a few testers to try it out. A few testers turned into 350K+ users to the website. I was ecstatic, but also shi##### my pants, because the AI that runs behind the scenes cost money. My site was truly a pet project - I did not have a paywall or even require users to login. It was like the Hunger Games...a free for all! In order to give me some runway to build a paywall and subscription service, I was fortunate to receive a couple thousand dollars in donations to give me the runway I needed to continue to keep my head down and build. I'm very thankful for everyone that has contributed to the website. Whether you shared the site with a friend or colleague, used the website, or simply gave me an upvote, I thank you! At the end of the day, my goal was not to make a quick buck. It was to help people be more productive in spreadsheets and to educate people in Excel. When digging through the hundreds of thousands of formula requests, I found roughly 50 different ways in which users describe the VLOOKUP formula. The formula/results are always the same, but with a wide range of experience, the ways in which it's asked by the end user greatly varies. Excelformulabot.com gives, particularly inexperience users, direction to the formula that they're seeking. Entry level analysts struggle to find formulas online, because they do not know yet how to search for it.
