Hey fellow makers and hunters. At first, many thanks to @chrismessina for the hunt. Just a few words on why we've build Ensemble Chat. Monetizing and differentiating your community is hard. While a lot of platform provide a great way to setup your online community, monetizing your following has been a challenge. You'd either need third-party subscription service plugins (for example doing so in Discord) or a combination of different products (for example Patreon for subscriptions, a Slack group for conversations). Ensemble weaves together the benefits of a live chat app (customization, automation, analytics, and more), a social network (engagement, retention), and an ecommerce site (subscriptions and memberships). A few other companies have seen this challenge and are tackling community monetization as well. A few of the key factors we believe are important to a community creator and are offered in Ensemble are: billing and subscription management, custom branding (you can brand your community entirely on Ensemble and use your domain), and a powerful dashboard providing all tools needed to manage and monitor your community (from roles and permissions, invitations, subscriptions to webhooks and branding). We'd love to get feedback from early adopters and shape the future of the product. We are currently working on a better onboarding, as well as creating a community creators program to assist potential creators set up and learn how to efficiently monetize their audience.

Congrats on your launch. I see your point and from my perspective a CRM version of a community tool is often something missing from similar solutions, so it's good you're offering this as well. Can you explain how the monetization process works though?

@andone thank you for that. Community owners can define their own billing plans from Ensemble's admin dashboard. These can have different pricing, currency, intervals etc. Then, they can assign these plans to any content-block like a chatroom, a widget or a service (pay-to-access content). As a community owner you can add as many chatrooms (or channels as other refer them to) as you like. So you can make a private community of a pay-to-access chatrooms, or even create a bundled access to specific chatrooms and services. You can check out any of our sample communities that showcase different scenarios (example: https://ensemble.chat/use-cases/...)

Its facility of having pay-to-access chatrooms gives the entire idea a concrete backing and does full justice to the startup idea.

hi this is great and I would really like to use it but I register, verify, go to sign in and it tells me there's a problem and then takes me to the sign up page. I tried signing up again and it says it is already taken. I tried password reset and reset the password, go to sign in and again, login issue. Help?

@kristin_vargas1 sorry to hear that. Could you please email support at ensemble.chat so they can assist you?
