@andrewhyde@kyletaylored Actually I think you should add in a) bulk orders and b) branded. This'd be a great give-away for a lot of people at conferences and better than another mousepad.
@andrewhyde@golocalapps Printing is definitely on our roadmap. It's a little expensive to do right now without the proper equipment, but it's something we're trying to fund. Maybe a Kickstarter in our very near future? ;)
Attention like this though really helps us accelerate these features!
Should come with some permanent marker pen, otherwise the writings will fade away when the laptop goes into its case / bag. Easy little recommendation for the founders :)

nice. I think I'll get one, and use it with Lumocolor Correctable pens by Staedtler. Unlike dry erase markers, they don't wipe off so easily by mistake, but they erase perfectly when you use the felt eraser. check them out. And they come in much finer tips, which are better for smaller surfaces. Make sure you get the "correctable" pens, not the "non-permanent" pens, which are easy to confuse. @golocalapps We don't have a 17" yet, but we can easily make one up. If you want to order the 15" MBP or Contrarian XL, put in a comment for a 17" with your laptop model, and we can do a custom set until we officially get out the 17" version.

It's sometimes difficult when there are so many variations of a 17" model (non-Mac), so we have to come up with a ballpark size that will work with 95% of them.

I chair a couple of conferences and these immediately jumped out as potentially great gifts to give out to speakers (or even attendees if they were sponsored/branded, perhaps). Can you imagine the extra social possibilities if these were used at events?
So...I was super excited about this...until I hit the "Buy Online" link and was presented with an image with TONS of air bubbles below the draw pad. I feel like I could use this all day, but drawing over air bubbles all day would really frustrate me.
Of course, maybe the product person just did a poor job of putting it on. That said, if the product person with the desire to sell this couldn't get it right, why would I think I could do better? 2¢
@d2burke We actually just updated our product line with a new kind of vinyl that has an air release backing so there's no more bubbles. Check out the new video, and we'll be sure to update the product pictures!
This would be great for my daughter. She ignores my notes everywhere else in the house...maybe she won't overlook the ones on the device she can't live without (iPad).
Reminds me a bit of http://www.inkcase.com/en.html and having a second screen that is more of a static/dump display. I wonder if anyone could create a simple eink attachment for MBP, dare I saw replace the back panel with something like http://www.myboogieboard.com/na/
@johnmurch What we really need is a top lid with DrawAttention whiteboard, a bottom surface with e-ink, and a full color display in the middle when you open it. Sounds like some awesome Frankenstein Yotaphone :-)
