Thanks @etcpeter for hunting us! Hey ProductHunt! Like many of you, I got tired of writing out boilerplate code and picking selectors manually for Playwright E2E tests and monitoring scripts. I thought there must be an easier way to make clean and robust scripts that mimic user actions besides tediously doing it myself πŸ˜… So I ended up putting together this Chrome extension that writes Playwright and Puppeteer scripts automatically just by recording clicks/typing/scrolls ⌨ πŸ–±οΈ Whether you're creating E2E tests for web applications, scripts for browser automation, or scraping websites, I hope DeploySentinel will help automate your workflow in creating Playwright/Puppeteer scripts πŸš€ This product has really been influenced by all the positive feedback I've gotten from the developer community and of course it's open source as well. I'd love to hear any feedback/improvements we can make from y'all as well as what you think should come next. πŸ™

This looks super useful, both for web app testing but also for more general web automation work. Very excited to try this out, currently working on an optimization based automation tool and I can see some applications of the Recorder extension. Congratulations on the launch @mikeshi42 and @warren_lee!

It's an amazing product. Once I had an idea of making a site that could scrap data from any site based on the instructions give to it. This tool is quite similar to what I had thought of. Congrats on the launch.

@basharath thank you! absolutely, this helps out with defining a script for data scraping purposes, but definitely the other parts of running the scraper and whatnot is still yet to be built!
