Cyclops is a new product that makes video conferencing and screen-sharing dead simple. It also integrates with Slack and has some neat apps and bots. Real-time audio transcription and the functionality that enhances whiteboards are my favorites. Really really useful for remote teams. Reminds me of the days when every company with remote teams started using Zoom.us

@hnshah Yeah we use Zoom.us at the moment and have been toying with Slack too. Hangouts is so unreliable and just difficult to work with every time. This looks cool!

You can create own vanity URL by changing the URL we generate with as many words as you want as long as its lower-case, not numbers and not special characters. Below are 2 examples. We will have more direct support for persistent vanity URLs soon. https://www.cyclops.io/room/john... https://www.cyclops.io/room/face... Also, video conferencing should be more than just talking. It should be about getting work done. To do that, we've created apps and bots on top of video conferencing. These include: Screenshare on steroids: don't just see other people's screens, collaborate on top of them using annotation and cursor sharing. Collaborate over real whiteboards with real markers: just point your laptop camera at the whiteboard and turn on the whiteboard enhancements. Real time audio transcription (in Beta): take meeting notes. And for all of these, you can post the results of your work to slack. In fact, if you are a slack fan, you can launch us from slack. Go to http://cyclops.io/slack, and add us. Then just type /cyclops in slack and you'll be up and going. Let us know what you think!

whoa this looks super cool... i'm working on a startup that has a completely remote workforce and this may just be what we've been looking for... what devices does it work on?

@edhsieh thanks! It works on all devices as long as you have a Chrome browser. Other browser support on the way.

@edhsieh Glad you like it! Any computer that runs Chrome web browser can run Cyclops.io. We'll hopefully support other major browsers later this year.

@trevorstricker We've also done livestreams before with Cyclops using a 3rd party screen-capture software. Works great!

I've been using Cyclops for a bit now. The great part is that it just works out of the box and is fast. The white boarding features are particularly useful since we have a remote team. If I were doing B2B, I could see this being useful there too for sales calls and logging.

Bunch of features, nice video, worked smoothly. Not all of features I cold get in first 3 minutes and not sure I need them all. So far I like it. I would like to see and pay money for: 1. Meeting video recording 2. Easy calendar integration 3. Twilio integration to be able to call from the meeting to the phone 4. Call in number would be nice too 5. Send chat and transcription to email 6. Better UX/UI design (we would love to help you guys with that https://livetyping.com/en/)

Reminds me of the early version of appear.in but with real possibilities to work together on projects with your physical whiteboard.

Pros:

Great interaction (= working together, not just "meeting") and additional apps like audio transcription.

Cons:

navigating user accounts is not that smooth

we have been using Cyclops every week for many months. It has replaced Google

Hangout, Skype, GoToMeeting and Webex for us in terms of team collaboration.

The white board feature is amazing. One team member in Office 1 can do a normal white board. All others in any other location can see and interact with the white board just as if they are all in the same room.

amazing product.

Pros:

no install to use, literally one click; white board collaboration;

Cons:

occasional bugs on some browsers
