Pros:

Gives you the market price per one coin

Cons:

Doesn't get you more coins

Geraldo Ramos
Will be adding more coins soon!
Bruno Lemos

- It only allows price for 1 coin

- It doens't let you select which exchange you want the price

- It doesn't show green/red colors on the price

- Doesn't seem to be realtime

Alternatives:

- Coin Tick https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/...

- Coin Watch https://www.producthunt.com/post...

Pros:

Price alert

Cons:

Limited compared to alternatives

Thanks (valeu!) Bruno. This is just the beginning! Since it's open source, I'm getting a lot of help and feedback from the community already. Many of the things you mentioned will be incorporated in future releases and I'm already working on some of them. Hopefully, it will be available soon and since I implemented auto-updates, users will get it without worrying. Yes, the price alert feature (which other apps doesn't have) will also be improved.

another thing, the price updates every 60 seconds.

@chocksy thanks! :D

Cool product, but I can't have it open while using Sketch sadly. CMD + d opens the developer tools (when I'm trying to duplicate a layer in sketch).

@jmsuth Good point, I will change the debug shortcut to something less generic. My bad. You can count that this will be fixed in the next release.
Xavier Castaneda
@jmsuth @geraldoramos You can always let the user set their own shortcut. For xcode, there was this solution: https://github.com/shpakovski/MA... Perhaps there's something for electron?
Geraldo Ramos
@jmsuth @xcast3d will take a look on that, thanks sir!
Geraldo Ramos
@jmsuth @xcast3d This has been fixed in the last release: https://github.com/geraldoramos/...

Nice Thought

Pros:

Cool, Time Saver to visit individual websites

Cons:

OS limited

Geraldo Ramos
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, the API used to draw text in the menu bar (to show prices) is not available for Linux and Windows. I will keep investigating a good solution.

This is really clean and straight forward! Just downloaded :)

Awesome app. Need support for more coins though. I want ₹ support 😃 (Check http://fixer.io/ for conversions)
Geraldo Ramos
@deadcoder0904 Trying to work on a solution to support most coins and let the user select which ones to monitor.

Very easy to install and simple tool without opening & refreshing the browser unlike other apps.

Pros:

Really handy tool to keep an eye on cryptocurrencies and be alerted on downs & falls.

Cons:

Price in USD not always match with the market (coinbase etc)

Geraldo Ramos
Thanks buddy, I'm working on a new version where the user can change the preferred exchange (Coinbase, Bittrex, etc).
Ben Levy
Looks cool - what exchange are you pulling prices from? Thanks!
Geraldo Ramos
@benmlevy The exchange used is CCCAGG. Future versions will make it configurable.

Very similar name to this product https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/... which I'm currently using. Excited to try out your version, though it seems to be lacking a few features I'd love to see (support for multiple exchanges, allow multiple coins in the menu bar, colored price changes, formatted numbers e.g. 18,000 instead of 18000, etc.)
Geraldo Ramos
@alekplay thanks for the feedback! I'm working on a bunch of features including some you've described. Hopefully, the app will evolve and become more robust with the help of the community (already received a good amount of pull requests on the first day).

Not every app has to be revolutionary. This is a simple solution for effortlessly tracking your favorite currency. The alerts are a nice touch though I have alerts on so many apps at this point that when something happens, I get notified 20 times, still good for those starting to dabble in cryptos. Great job! Cheers.

@xcast3d thanks for the feedback Xavier!
