We started Cron after a friend and I hacked together a calendar extension to be more productive and intentional with our time. As productivity nerds, we're all using calendar workarounds, extensions, and additional services to get closer to a modern calendaring experience — to schedule meetings, plan tasks, take notes, block time, and track activities. Cron reimagines the calendar for the modern age and brings it all together. We're just getting started building powerful workflows and expanding to more platforms. We've been iterating with early users daily and shipping features weekly. People at companies like Figma, Notion, and Loom already use Cron as their default calendar. I'm super excited for you to try it! AMA! I'm around :)

@francois_carlier We're sending invites in batches as fast as we can. Existing Cron users are also giving out invites on Twitter. Just checked and you should have actually recently received yours!

Cron instantly became my default calendar. I have it open all day, every day. The menu bar calendar alone saves me hundreds of clicks. For those who already have access, what do you think? For those who are currently in line, what feature are you most excited about? P.S. I did a 20 minute design masterclass with Raphael, one of the creators of Cron, where we go into detail on how he sanded down the edges. He's one of the best designers I have ever met.
We led the seed round alongside co-investors like Jeff Weiner of LinkedIn and Dylan Field of Figma.

I've been using Cron for the last week, and WOW. I've been blown away. I've tried dozens of calendars and apps to manage my crazy time zones and meeting schedule. Cron is powerful - easy to use (especially if you're using command bar apps). I am hooked. Try it, and it will make a positive difference. Can't wait for the mobile app experience. They NAILED sending meeting timeslots to people. Super nice - that feature alone is a game changer for me. Thanks Raphael, Erik, and the team.

I’ve been using Cron for a few months and I’m never going back to google calendar. It’s intuitive, efficient and has so many brilliant UX details that add up to make it an outstanding product. It’s made managing my calendar so efficient and painless, and on top of that, it’s beautifully designed.

Such a waste of time :) It's mentioned nowhere (if it is mentioned, then it should be more visible) that it's a Mac only app. No windows, no webapp... I asked for permission and even tweeted about it as I was curious and looking always looking for a calendar app that will do a better job than the existing ones. And it's only after I signed up that the only choice I have is "Download for Mac". When will a windows/webapp version be available? PS: You should clearly mention this in PH and your landing page.

It's fast in speed, easy to use, has good feature shipping velocity - and the team communicates well. After trying multiple solutions ( Gcal, Fantastical, VimCal, Woven, etc...), this is my daily calendar app for Mac. @raphaelschaad hope you have IOS and IpadOS in the making

I've been using Cron for the past 6 months and absolutely adore it! It's impossible to convey in screenshots or words how great it feels to use. Other than the general 10x improvements to UX of calendars, my favorite feature is probably the optional global "join zoom" keyboard shortcut for quickly joining back to back meeting! I couldn't imagine ever going back to the google calendar app at this point.

Looks very promising -- just signed up ?makers -- since I'm likely to use it (even just for the menu option), I'd ask a couple roadmap considerations: 1. add a lot of familiar keyboard shortcuts 2. I use both gmail and google calendar as desktop apps on my Mac and I'd love to see a way to "email attendees" in my calendar to launch Compose on the gmail app -- not sure if it is idiosyncratic to me, but as clunky as Outlook seemed, I used to like this feature

@raphaelschaad -- beyond the standard google calendar ones (I like the single keystroke UX), I think it'll be useful to have a shortcut to focus on the next/near meeting based on current time and launch Zoom/Teams with another keystroke or two. Will be very handy. Likewise, a quick way to focus on a meeting and then an "email all" shortcut too. Once I see the app, I can have better clarity (for instance, what all does cmd+k do)... Basically, Calendar is a utility app for me and I should need to spend as little time as possible on it. That make sense?

@kirank5a Totally, many of Cron's keyboard shortcuts are single keystroke "hot keys" (e.g., hit "T" to go to Today, "J" to jump to the next week, "K" to kick back, "S" to share availabilities, etc.) To join an upcoming video call with the single press of a button, you press "V". We extract conferencing links from your events for Zoom, GMeet, BlueJeans, etc. In order to not have to remember all the keyboard shortcuts from the beginning, you can just press ⌘K to open the command menu and start typing to quickly access all these commands and shortcuts. It's both easy and powerful!

I've had access to Cron for a few weeks now and been absolutely loving it! Ever since Sunrise shut down it left a gaping hole in my day-to-day life, and Cron filled that hole perfectly. It's still early and there are lots of improvements left to make, but it's already miles better than iCal/GCal. 10/10 would recommend!

I’m using Cron for a year now and it is one of the products you use and can’t imagine going back to whatever you’ve used before. You’ll start noticing things all the small things that were always bugging you about Calendar (always choosing Google Meet as default, no shortcuts) It is crazy how much attention to detail the team put into this product: The date of the desktop app changes subtly every day, there is a soft distinguished sound just 1 minute before every meeting. Everything is snappy and precise like a Swiss watch. This is the best craftsmanship I’ve seen in software.

I have to admit, I'm a calendar nerd. Was lucky to use Cron from early on and ever since it has saved me 100s of hours. Just think of the feature of dedicated time slots with a pre-formulated text snippet - saves you 3 back and forth emails for every single external meeting! ❤️
