Hi Product Hunt community. 👋 I'm Henry and one of the founders of Crewting. Our coffee break app for Slack ensures a positive and good company culture in remote and hybrid teams and strengthens employee loyalty, true to our motto: "Turn isolated remote workers into deeply connected crews". 🤝 But what exactly is Crewting and how did we come up with the idea? 🤔 All of our founding team worked in hybrid or remote companies before starting Crewting. We're pretty big fans of these work models because they offer a lot of freedom and flexibility. But over time, we realized that it was very difficult to keep the culture alive, create good communication, and integrate new employees into the sense of togetherness. The result? Poor employee retention and low company identification, which is a big risk in the war of talent. 😦 We wanted to change that! That's why in 2022 we launched Crewting, our people & culture platform for German-speaking countries. An all-in-one platform that combines modules for employee networking and feedback processes. 🤗 Then last year, we decided to improve the culture of all remote teams around the world. That's why we built our coffee break app for Slack. And one thing was especially important to us. Bringing people together is one thing. But what bothered us about many solutions was that the functionality stopped after the matching. We wanted to change that. 💪 Crewting not only takes care of the intelligent matching of employees, but also ensures great conversations and unforgettable team moments through our interactive moderation during coffee break meetings. @laocool Good question! :) We have several interactive boosts during coffee breaks. In our "Topic Talk" mode, employees are asked questions about common interests. @marvin_maendle sure thing! I´ve used https://www.gather.town/ and https://gatheround.com/. The latter worked pretty good for break coffee during webinars with leads and clients. They have a great ux. But were expensive at the time and I didn´t get to introduce them with the team (we used mostly for coffee breaks with clients). Love the mission but I'm not really understanding what's new here. What was broken with Donut or other similar apps that inspired you to make this?

@rajiv_ayyangar thank you for the feedback. The big difference is, that we offer a Coffee-Break environment so the attendees don't have to schedule the Coffee-Breaks by themselves. The most important thing is that we offer content moderation. What is a Coffee-Break without interaction? We help to shape the conversations between the attendees and shape through the moderation deeper connections in the team. For example through a fun quiz which includes personal questions or through questions about the own interests. Users love the gamification part the most. So it's not just a matching app like the other providers, it's a app of interaction!

@marvin_maendle have you found any broad appeal online games that people actually enjoy together? That’s quite difficult in my experience - people get burnt out on basic games pretty quickly.

@rajiv_ayyangar We have developed our own quiz to appeal to many people. Participants can either choose from personal questions or simply create their own. Due to the personalization, it appeals to many of our current users. People love to guess and put their knowledge to the test and thats why they love Who knows Who! Reminds me of Donut, which launched many years ago and managed to build a successful business around this concept. That observation, plus my personal experience working in virtual team makes me think there is definitely a market for a crewting solution!
