Hey Product Hunt! I’m a junior in university and I built this after seeing my friends and I write dozens of cover letters for internships.
CoverletterIO was born out of the need of wanting to get fast, actionable feedback on your coverletter app. My friend was using TextIO for to grade his coverletters and I thought I could build something better for him and the rest of the world's job applicants
CoverletterIO gives you feedback in three ways:
1. Gives you a score from 0-100 that estimates the probability the coverletter will get you a job
2. Gives you feedback on what you are doing right, what you could be doing better at (aka warnings) and what you need to fix immediately in your cover letter (aka errors)
3. Suggests alternative words that are proven to help get you the job
