Cookie Blocker is a Safari extension that allows you to block cookies sites per site.
Safari has a cookie blocking settings, but does support per site customisation.
Cookie blocker was born to add in site customisation.
I was curious how Medium keep track of how many times I viewed an article
Later, I found out that Medium uses a combination of cookies and local storage to track your read count.
What surprised me was the amount of information that was stored in my cookie.
I started looking at other sites, and I felt uncomfortable with the types/amount of information captured.
So I decided to use Safari's incognito mode all the time. But that forced me to login all the time to my favorite websites. This became really inconvenient.
I love cookies but at the same time have a fear of them.
Cookie blocker Safari Extension is how I decide to approach my predicament. By allowing me to control which sites can save to cookies/localstorage.
