Yo Product Hunt! 👊🏻 Conversion Crimes has arrived and we’re on a mission to save the world from bad user experiences. My name is Quinn Zeda and for the last 7 years I’ve been running my CRO agency Zeda Labs. 💣 Our secret weapon at the agency was usability testing - real people recording their screens and thinking out loud while using your site or app to give you feedback. We started building Conversion Crimes on the side because the current usability testing platforms didn’t fit our needs. Usability testing is low effort, affordable, and has a very high ROI. 💪🏻 We saw huge value in usability testing vs other tools: - You don’t need traffic, you can even test prototypes - Set up is minutes unlike a/b testing - Easy to learn the ropes even for website or app owners - Cheaper than hiring an agency or consultant - Get actionable insights in hours instead of months. 🤑 The benefits are huge for businesses too: - Increase conversions & revenue - Improve happiness metrics - Reduce churn - Reduce support tickets - Reduce development costs/time - And more!!! 🤔 How are we different? Most usability testing solutions are made with UX pros in mind and require a long learning curve to get results. Conversion Crimes makes usability testing accessible for anyone. 👊🏻 As you watch the recordings, you take notes and the data is then correlated with the inputs from our testers. We automatically generate a report that makes finding discrepancies, KPIs, and insights painless. With our subscription you spend an hour per month watching the videos and then make tweaks with what you learn. Month over month you’ll see your results compound. Make your CRO a part of your workflow instead of just a one-time project. We hope you enjoy Conversion Crimes (at a special hunter discount!) and I’d love to know what you think or answer any questions you have! Today is literally our birthday, v1.0. If you have any issues, we are standing by to help. Feel free to reach out via Twitter, email, or leave a comment below. 👇🏻 Rock On, Quinn

I'm excited to see this launch on PH - my company SpyGuy recently used Conversion Crimes (via Quinns agency) and we learned a TON about how users view and are using our website.
Quinn Zeda
@allenthird \(^o^)/ Stoked to hear that!
Laura Roeder
Oooh bookmarking this one - what's the difference between you and User Testing?
Quinn Zeda
@lkr Hi Laura, The core product is the same as User Testing as it’s videos of people using your website. User Testing is more for enterprise customers and thus their features are more geared towards people who do UX research daily and know where and what to look at. Their system works where you enter in a lot of information into one giant text box, tag timecodes, then export to excel to organize the data to make insights. They have features like making highlight videos which are more geared towards teams that need to share and discuss. SME’s don’t need all that! Often, they have just one person doing the work, rather than a dedicated analyst. We cut out all the crap and focused on the features that make your work flow fast and painless. You watch the videos, make some notes, and tick some boxes and a report is generated which makes finding insights easy. User Testing is also really expensive. $24k/year. They have their on-demand option that costs $500 (x5 testers) last time I checked for a typical test, where on our system the same test will cost $150.

Such a great offering!! I used to be a User Tester in college for extra cash and always considered it enterprise-focused. Thanks for making it more accessible to the masses!
Quinn Zeda
@pomysingh2 Thanks Pomy! During our research we also found out that testers were frustrated with User Testing (felt forgotten, not taken care of, etc) so we've got a ton of stuff planned for our testers too. We have a more robust training program and bonuses for quality work. In our RoadMap we have planned that every time a customer rates a video (helping us with Quality Control) we'll plant a tree!
Leanne Beesley
Congrats on launching, Quinn! This looks great - I love how easy this subscription makes it to check how new (and old!) features are being experienced by users.
Quinn Zeda
@leanne_beesley thanks Leanne! Yeah we wanted to make it super easy for people to improve user experience! Glad you like it!
Wes Bush
I'm still blown away by the results I got from using Conversion Crimes. The whole process of finding out how to improve my conversion rate was seamless! Congrats on the official launch!
Quinn Zeda
@wes_bush Awww thanks Wes! There's been a major upgrade to the back-end reporting that I can't wait for you to check out and get your feedback on!

Frank Smith
Congrats on launching!
Salil Sethi
@quinnzeda helped review ProsperCircle.org. Loved the actionable review and cannot suggest her service enough. Thanks for helping out.
Quinn Zeda
@salil_sethi Thanks Salil! Glad you liked the actionable feedback you received!!!!
Mark
Hey @quinnzeda - maybe answered already, but where are you finding your testers?
Quinn Zeda
@mark_kleyne1 We have sourced a lot of testers from Reddit and word of mouth and our original testers from our very early MVP on mechanical turk.
Kevin Tao
This looks super interesting and helpful for my site!
Quinn Zeda
@kevintoaster Awesome. Let me know if you have any questions or need help getting started.

I hate a/b tests and I've been recommending user testing to everyone who needs to have their landing page improved but there was no service for this and getting random people to comment on your website was just too much hassle. Finally something I can recommend to my clients to get proper insights about what works and doesn't work on their website
Ryo Chiba
Congrats on the launch! Looks like a product that I would actually use, I am always looking for relevant feedback from customers and consider it an essential part of our design process. Anything that can make the process easier is valuable to me.
Quinn Zeda
@ryochiba Thanks Ryo, Would love to help you get started - our goal is to make it part of your workflow to consistently improve user experience. Hit me up on intercom!
Mark Hamblin
I love this... finally something that fills that gap between "hey [friend, family member] can I watch you try my app" and "hey big enterprise-focused UX testing platform, here's a large bucket of money". Looking forward to trying it out as I'm getting ready to launch Supplios!
Quinn Zeda
@mark_hamblin Thanks Mark! Exactly, we wanted to build something that anybody can use. Let me know if you need any help getting started.
Vishal Srivastava
Very helpful site @quinnzeda. I will recommend to my clients.
Tarek Dajani
Looks really nice, something I can start using when I launch. Couple of questions though, do I choose my buyer persona or do you just choose randomly? And is it possible for users to test out the platform in my website (maybe using the demo?) as well as the website landing page?
Quinn Zeda
@tdajani Hi Tarek, thank you!!! You can choose demographics when you (or us) set-up your test. We're working on growing our testers to offer even more demographics than we have currently. Yes, you can test anything online - website, apps, prototypes. As long as it has a link it can be tested. It's beneficial to test prototypes as you can catch usability errors even before you get to development. It's way cheaper to iterate in the design phase than it is in development.
Ian Voest
Congrats on the launch @quinnzeda! Looks great :)
Quinn Zeda
@ian_voest Thanks Ian!!!
Justas
name makes a perfect sense 👌 btw, how do you select users for testing? can I select it as a client?
Quinn Zeda
@justas_samalius Thanks!!! Yes you can select demographics and there is a write-in for anything specific you need such as: developers, reads news daily, interested in photography, etc.
