So it's Friday. And it's Jamhuri Day. And it's my friend's birthday. And tomorrow I'm Santa. +more
Context Sync v1.0.3 - Your AI can now write directly to Notion.
I mean... can we talk about this for a second?
It's FRIDAY. Which is already a lot. Fridays are heavy. You've got the weight of the week, the promise of the weekend, the existential crisis of "did I accomplish anything?"
But THEN. Then it's ALSO Jamhuri Day. Kenya's Independence Day. December 12th. Big deal back home.
Except I'm not home. I'm in Edinburgh. Scotland. Been here 7 years. So I'm celebrating Jamhuri Day... from 4,000 miles away... in a country where it's just a regular Friday.
Already complicated.
BUT WAIT. My friend's birthday is TODAY. (Photos attached. Looking good. We did good.)
So now I'm juggling:
Friday energy
Jamhuri Day pride
Birthday celebration
Scottish weather (it's raining, always raining)
And you know what else happened this week?
Context Sync hit 970+ downloads.
Nine. Seven. Zero.
In ONE WEEK.
WITHOUT us even announcing the new stuff yet.
Let me break this down
I haven't told you what we built. I've been sitting on it. Being strategic. Waiting for the right moment.
(The right moment is Monday, by the way. Monday's gonna be GOOD.)
But people are downloading anyway. Installing. Using it. Telling their friends probably. I don't know, I don't have analytics for word-of-mouth but it's HAPPENING.
970 downloads of something I built in Edinburgh while being a Kenyan celebrating Jamhuri Day from Scotland.
You ever think about that? The internet is WILD.
And tomorrow? Tomorrow I'm Santa.
Not metaphorically. Literally. Red suit. White beard. Ho ho ho.
Charity event for kids. I said yes months ago thinking "future me will handle it."
Well. Future me is NOW me. And now me is slightly panicking.
But also? Also I'm excited. Kids deserve a good Santa. Even if that Santa is a Kenyan-Scottish developer who just hit 970 downloads and is celebrating Jamhuri Day and his friend's birthday all on the same day.
Life is a LOT right now.
Here's what I'm saying
A product IS its founder.
You're not using "Context Sync the tool." You're using Context Sync built by:
A Kenyan in Scotland
Who gets lazy some weeks (we discussed this)
Who has friends with birthdays
Who's about to be Santa
Who just hit 970 downloads organically
Who has TWO new integrations he hasn't even told you about yet
Who builds in public because what else are you gonna do?
That's what you're getting. That's the energy.
And Monday? Monday I'm spilling ALL the tea about what we built.
(Hint: Your AI tools are about to talk to some... OTHER tools. Tools you use every day. Tools that have been isolated this whole time. That's all I'm saying.)
So have a good weekend
Seriously.
Whether you're:
Celebrating Jamhuri Day π°πͺ
Wishing someone happy birthday π
Being Santa π
Hitting milestones π
Just... surviving Friday β
Take the win. Enjoy it.
I'll be back Monday with announcements. Big ones. The kind that make you go "wait, it does THAT now?"
Until then, Context Sync is here. Free. Open source. Making your AI tools talk to each other.
970 people figured that out this week. Maybe you should too.
Cheers from rainy Edinburgh! π
P.S. - If you see a panicked-looking Santa at a charity event in Scotland tomorrow, that's me. Wave. Or don't. I'll be busy figuring out how to ho-ho-ho convincingly.
P.P.S. - NINE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY DOWNLOADS. In one week. Without announcing anything. I'm still processing this.
P.P.P.S. - Monday. Mark your calendars. It's gonna be good.
