Are you able to share what libraries you're using? Would love to add to Versoly so I can automatically create smaller images for customers.

@towfiqi Thanks once added I will put a link to CompressImage.io inside the app if customers need it for other projects.
Towfiq I.
@volkandkaya Thanks. That would be great!

Hello Hunters! I have built an image compression tool that lets you compress jpg and png files without ever uploading them to any servers. Since the compression is handled solely by your browser, its super fast ad works offline! ⚡ Compress JPG & PNG Images. ⚡ 100% Free & No Conversion Limits. ⚡ Convert your images to WebP. ⚡ Limit Image Dimensions. ⚡ Completely Private. No files are uploaded anywhere for conversion. ⚡ Since no servers are used for compression, the carbon emission is no existent. ⚡ Works even when you are Offline. Sounds good? Head over to https://compressimage.io/ and drag your images to get their sizes reduced by up to 90%
@towfiqi A useful image compression tool. I love the interaction. Big congrats!

@victoria_wu Thanks :)

I am usually skeptical, but here I don't see any catch. CompressImage works great and is free. Conversion to webp is an important step in optimizing images for the web. Thank you!

I've been looking for a better image compression tool! I feel like all the others compress only by a small amount but when you need robust compression, they don't work. I just tried this and went from 3.6MB to 399 KB with an image, so this really works! Bookmarking this for the future so I keep using it! Thanks for building and good luck on the launch!

Wow Realy cool. Are you thinking about opening this up with an API? I can see a potential for this being implemented in some of our products.
Towfiq I.
@markobalazic Marko, the underlying compression engine is not developed by me. Its already opensource. You can checkout these 2 packages: https://github.com/Donaldcwl/bro... https://fengyuanchen.github.io/c...

Works as described. Except for the electricity usage issue (which someone else has mentioned) - indeed a super cool tool. congratulations on the tool! Question: Is the mascot a Dog or a Rabbit? Cheers
Towfiq I.
@meamarvyas A dog actually!

@shortcipher Chris its not possible to predict the final image size. But since the compression processes only takes few milliseconds and does not require you to upload the files anywhere, you can actually drop your images and see the final size in seconds.
Daniel
Love the idea and congrats on the launch! But the "zero extra electricity is used" line is partially untrue: your device has extra load when it's compressing, which causes more electricity to be used (it's still more efficient that most servers so that's nice).

Very in time, thanks 👍 Suggestion: let users download a compressed file instead of a zip archive for one image.
Towfiq I.
@degisner You can already do that. You will find the download button for each image beside them.
piedpiper-like, its a great deal! 👏 Congrats on the launch! 🚀
