Wake up. The world of web2 has you. Creator monetization is broken: platforms like instagram, twitter, and tik tik are worth billions but don’t pay their creators, while others give a small fraction (97.5% of YouTubers don’t make enough to reach the U.S. poverty line). Something is wrong with this system, with the way creators, and users, are extracted + deprived of the value, upside, and ownership of the platforms themselves. What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire life, that there's something wrong here. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. What if the people owned the platforms? That’s what Coinflix is: a small sliver of a much larger paradigm shift in our society. It offers a new form of content for creators + influencers (shows, films, etc in the gap between Youtube/Tik Tok + Netflix), but the platform itself is owned by the creators and users through a token. In addition, it offers a funding pathway to creators wherein the community (through a DAO) decides what gets funding rather than film execs. So I present two options to you. You can take the blue pill, and return to the land of being monetized, harvested, datatized, milked, drained, and used by existing systems. Or you take the red pill - you stay in wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Morpheus
