After years of tests, bugs, meetings, and emails (lots of emails), we're excited to go live with Coinfella public beta, finally!
Being freelancers for almost a decade and being in the crypto space for years, we wanted to get paid in crypto for our freelance work but each and every time the client had no idea about crypto or know how to use it. We made Coinfella as a solution to our own struggles.
with Coinfella you can:
- Send a payment request in USD and get paid in USDC. (a crypto stablecoin)
- Clients just have to use their cards, no crypto knowledge is needed.
- Get paid straight to your own wallet.
- Get paid faster. (get the USDC as soon as a payment gets confirmed)
- Get paid cheaper. (literally the fastest and the cheapest way you can get paid)
- Create invoices if required.
+ a whole lot more! including a dashboard to track payments, 4+ supported blockchains, an address book to save wallets and clients, etc. Off-ramping in USD to your bank account is coming up next!

How do you handle the conversion?
Do you lock in the exchange rate at the time of payment, or is there a risk of mismatch during the transfer process?
@andrew_cho Hey, currently it's not in our roadmap but this is something we definitely have considered and will consider going forward. Is that something you are personally interested in?
This is great. Feels like this type of product will be ubiquitous in the near future. Any plans to expand up-market to instos? feels like a lot of pie up for grabs in the stablecoin payments space right now!
@audyneagle Hey! Thank you! onboarding instos and businesses are on the roadmap and I agree! Stablecoins will only keep growing bigger, especially USDC.
@trey_cannon Thank you, glad it came in clutch! There are no specific limits for payments in terms of volume, other than the KYC limits. Currently, we only support card payments, hoping to enable Wire and ACH soon.
@umberto_abbatantuono Hi! Moonpay is a completely different service that let's you buy cryptocurrencies for yourself through their onramp, it does not allow you to send a payment request nor an invoice in which a 'client' can use their cards to pay and you get the crypto.
