TL;DR: - CmdKay = browser extension that allows you to bring the powers of ChatGPT everywhere you go on the internet. - Lightning quick responses to questions about the current webpage by using the Cmd/Ctrl+K shortcut. - 14-day free trial, try it out and tell us what you think! .................................................................................................................................. Hi everyone, šŸš€ We're excited to bring to you CmdKay, your superpower command shortcut that allows you to bring the powers of ChatGPT everywhere you go on the internet! It's super simple: download the browser extension (available in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox), and start using the Cmd/Ctrl+K shortcut to get lightning quick responses to questions about the current webpage that you are on. šŸ¤” Why did we build CmdKay? When we used ChatGPT for the first time, we were awestruck by the empowering feeling of having advanced reasoning and the knowledge of the entire internet at the immediacy of our fingertips. Both the speed of text generation and the quality of the answers produced by the GPT were astonishing UX that we had never experienced before. At the same time, internet browsers are the window through which we ingest the world's knowledge. And given how much information we wade through on the internet everyday, it only seems inevitable that GPT's power of advanced reasoning and immediacy be used to augment our internet browsing experiences. CmdKay is the result of that inevitability. šŸ” How does it work? It's quite simple really. Since CmdKay knows the context (the contents) of the webpage that you're in, you can quickly type in a 'stream-of-thought' query and CmdKay will automatically turn it into a coherent query based on your current context. And in one smooth go, CmdKay produces the response to that query too of course, based on the contents of the webpage as well as its omniscient understanding of the world. This means that you don't need to type out full sentences when asking questions (you can if you want though). This also means that you can rely on CmdKay to bring in relevant outside information that may not be present in the current webpage, in answering whatever query that you asked. Oh, and this all happens lightning quick of course! šŸ™ Our ask We have a 14-day free trial, so give CmdKay a try and let us know what you think! If you have any questions or feedback, please feel free to reach out at channy@cmdkay.com. Enjoy! .................................................................................................................................. Disclaimers: - As of now, browser extensions can't be used on PDF files that are opened with browsers. - CmdKay's worldly knowledge goes as far back as September 2021. - We are improving CmdKay everyday! There are inevitably gonna be websites where CmdKay doesn't work on. Please reach out to us at support@cmdkay.com with issues, and we promise to get back to you as soon as possible.

Hey, just had a peek at CmdKay, and it's looking pretty sweet! I mean, bringing ChatGPT into my browser? That's some next-level browsing magic right there. Quick thought: since it knows the content of the page I'm on, can I just throw in some half-baked questions and expect it to get what I'm after? Super curious to see this in action!

@jakeharr Hi Jake! Thank you so much for the comment! And yes exactly, you can throw in half-baked questions, and it'll understand what you're trying to get at. Excited to have you give it a try and tell us what you think!

Seems fun! Like that one dude in the reddit thread that gives ELI5 or TL;DR to everything. You just stuffed him into one button. Def goes straight into my current extensions list. One thing tho - the sign up process feels very outdated, at least enable some social media authentications.

@soomie Hi Vlad, so sorry that you were having issues with the signup, it should be fixed now! And thank you for the feedback regarding enabling social logins!

Wow, this sounds like a game-changer for productivity! I love the idea of bringing the powers of ChatGPT to the browser. It would be great to have lightning-quick responses to questions about the current webpage. I'm curious about the specific capabilities of CmdKay. Are there any limitations to the types of questions it can answer? Can it provide information about specific elements on the page, like text snippets or images? Also, have you considered integrating with any popular browser extensions or productivity tools? It would be amazing to have CmdKay work seamlessly with tools like Trello.
