Charcoal - A modern, free, and easy-to-use drawing app for iOS

Charcoal is a minimalistic and modern drawing app. It's super easy to use and has support for iPadOS features like dark mode and multiple windows. And it's free!

How will you monetize? I want it to thrive and beat procreate or paper :)
Lars Augustin
@danirogerc Right now it's just a side project and I don't need the money. If I monetize it at some point, I'll probably just have a tip jar (no IAPs ๐Ÿ˜€)

@sana_naas congrats on the launch! Do you plan on adding a premium version with more features down the line? If so what are you planning to add?
Lars Augustin
@amrith I don't have any plans for a premium version, but I want to add features like custom color palettes and grids to the normal (current) version.

Nice app. Just tested on my iPad. Would be great to add Apple Pencil support, like double tap for eraser. And tap with two fingers to undo etc.

@bekzat That's something, that should have been in the 1.0, but I just didn't have the time to implement yet. Should be coming soon ๐Ÿ˜‰

@bekzat @sana_naas Thatโ€™s awesome thanks!

Such a nice simple app. I have been looking for something like this for my 9yr old boy to use for ipad drawing.

I wish there was an unlimited whiteboard iPad app. There's one from MS but I don't like the texture so I bought Flow from Moleskin for 19000 Korean won. It's good enough but exporting is a pain in the butt.

@hazelsong2 I think an infinite canvas option in Charcoal would be awesome ๐Ÿ˜‰
